Project Manager - CQA

What we are looking for

SCS Engineers is looking for a Project Manager to oversee our CQA (Construction Quality Assurance) projects for our solid waste engineering group in Fort Lauderdale office location. As a CQA Project Manager you will be responsible for providing project support and conducting on-site inspections to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and industry standards. Your primary focus will be on delivering exceptional project outcomes while maintaining effective communication with internal teams, clients, and contractors.

• Having the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast paced and ever-changing work environment.

• Prepare quantity estimates and cost estimates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or vocational certificate in construction management, engineering or equivalent education and/or 10 years of relevant work in the design and construction experience of environmental projects.

• Ability to work in the field for extended periods of time and to travel outside local areas as needed.

• Flexibility to work overtime, as needed.

• A thorough knowledge of general construction industry practices and safety.

• Required computer skills, AutoCAD, Excel, Word & Project.

• This position requires 80% day and/or night travel. Driving Record will be checked upon time of hire.

• Knowledge of soils, geosynthetics conformance testing and geosynthetics installation.

• Prepare written correspondence with clients and contractors, maintaining clear and professional communication throughout the project lifecycle.

• Demonstrates an understanding of permits, drawings, technical specifications and CQA plans, to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation.

• Keep up to date with job knowledge and industry trends through active participation in educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and engaging in professional societies and networks.

The pay range for this position is depending on relevant experience. This does not include bonuses or our Employee Stock Ownership Plan.
