As one of the fastest-growing warehousing and logistics companies in North America, we're looking for an experienced Project Manager

• Corporate Launch.

You will be responsible for assisting in managing the Operation and Materials Supervisors of corporate launch regarding shipping and receiving systems. Supervise CMA personnel. Monitor operation of CMA equipment and systems. Maintain safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures. Coordinate activities with other departments. Implement programs and procedures required to ensure plant cleanliness. Assist with planning and implementing plant improvements and expansions.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Engaged as part of a team that effectively implements the launch/start-up of new business for the respective client - customer.

• Identifies, communicates, and mitigate risks early in the launch/start-up process.

• Launch core project plans with key-stakeholders that includes templates and key project timelines across the launch team and the respective lines of business.

• Drives efficiency and standard work to improve the outcome of launch/start-ups.

• Responsible for the quality of the project launch and ensures that project launch deliverables are met.

• Plans, assigns, and directs work.

• Coordinates and monitors the contents of shipments that leave Comprehensive Logistics.

• Assists with training Material Movement Team Members.

• Appraises the performance of Material Movement Team Members.

• Rewards and disciplines employees address complaints and resolves problems.

• Involved in Multi-disciplinary Five Phase Problem Solving Teams that directly drives company's Continuous Improvement Process and Policies.

• Responsible for On the Job Training.

• Ensures compliance to Comprehensive Dock Safety Procedures.

• Corporate Launch has overall responsibility for ensuring that material is shipped to the customer in a timely manner. They must also determine the need to Hot Shot material and ensure that the Five Alarm Process is initiated and executed.

• Corporate Launch has overall responsibility for ensuring that the commodity distribution in any shipment is sufficient to meet customer needs.

• Monitor the flow of labor and material in the Shipping Process.

• Ensure that all shipments are made in a timely manner.

• Make decisions on and arrange Hot Shot shipments to the customer.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• College degree preferred and/or equivalent experience

• Third Party Logistics and/or Automotive manufacturing experience REQUIRED

• Sequencing, Assembly, Sub-Assembly, JIT (Just In Time, PFEP (Plan For Every Part)

• Knowledge of AIAG Core Tools (APQP, PFMEA, PPAP)

• Exceptional customer interfacing skills

• Start-Up Launch experience REQUIRED

• SAP, ERP, MRP and/or WMS experience

• Effectively communicate cross functionally and with customers to plan launches, resolve issues and maintain CLI principles of operation

• Lean Manufacturing, Process and Continuous Improvement experience

• Organize and Align Resources to Achieve Business Objectives

• Good written and oral communication

• Warehousing and Shipping/Receiving experience (Required)

• Supervisor/ Leadership/ Management experience (Required)

• Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

• Extensive travel is required

• Ability to work long hours
