Requirements

Project Manager: This is where you come in.

Were looking for a Project Manager who will run some of the coolest projects in the PNW. Some of our current projects include the second-tallest building in Seattle, Rainier Square, the research laboratory, Seattle Genetics, and the expansion of the Washington State Convention Center.

Top 5 things to deliver in the first year to be a hero:

  1. Schedule and track job progress and provide timely, constructive feedback to personnel concerning projects status
  2. Review design drawings and estimate and negotiate change orders
  3. Plan and schedule personnel for the project
  4. Monitor labor and material costs for accuracy through the job cost tracking system, prepare billings, track financial performance of assigned projects, prepare subcontracts, purchase orders, correspondence field questions, and job write-ups
  5. Direct, manage, and mentor project engineer(s) in their daily tasks and career development skills

The Project Manager role reports to Shawn Havely / Senior Project Manager Team Lead on a collaborative team working on a variety of projects and initiatives to support our growing business. This highly visible role interacts with all levels and functions within the organization.

Your Background: What kind of person will thrive in this role?

You should have

  • 3 or more years of project management experience in the mechanical/construction realm
  • Expertise keeping projects on track, on time, and under budget
  • A Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, or a related field, or relevant equivalent experience

We strive to be both.</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>Project Manager: </strong>This is where you come in.</p> <p>We’re looking for a Project Manager who will be responsible for the successful completion of various levels of HVAC Performance Contracting/ energy-related projects. They will perform, manage and confirm tasks as required to execute and fully complete assigned projects including: scoping of work, estimating, scheduling, project management, commissioning, performance verification, project closeout and successful owner acceptance. The Project Manager is responsible for the financial forecasting and delivered results inclusive of securing utility incentives of assigned projects. They will manage communication with the entire project team, utility company representatives, and the customer during all phases of the assigned project as well as confirms the work direction provided to engineers, system technicians, balance technicians, electricians, administration assistants and subcontractors as necessary. </p> <p><strong>Top 4 things to deliver in the first year to be a hero:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provides technical support for the sale of Performance Contracting projects inclusive of managing customer meetings, the development of riser diagrams for the use in presentations, scope of work development and pricing. </li> <li>Reviews specifications, submittals and design documents to ensure that a complete scope of work is developed to minimize costly changes once execution of the project has commenced.</li> <li>Performs and/or manages detailed estimating of the Building Performance Group (BPG) services.</li> <li>Evaluates the contractual scope of work and the impact of client issued bulletins, field directives and/or scheduling changes Communicates both technical and business related issues with the clients, MMFS project management and sales personnel</li> </ul> <p>The Project Manager role reports to John Van Hersett / Building Performance Project Manager on a collaborative team working on a variety of projects and initiatives to support our growing business.
