The McCloud Group is a construction management firm specializing in the building and restoration of educational, transportation, financial and residential facilities in the New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania areas.

The McCloud Group is looking for a Full Time Project Manager – Construction in New York. The Project Manager will oversee various construction projects in various stages of development.



Responsibilities:

  • Provide the administration and coordination of activities for design and construction of more complex and highly visible construction and modernization.
  • Make decisions on phasing and scheduling of projects. Prepare and ensure preparation of schedules for planning, design and construction.
  • Monitor schedules and take appropriate actions to ensure project is completed on schedule and within approved cost limitations.
  • Provide ongoing interface with contractors, construction managers, Engineers on project issues.
  • Participate in development and issuance of project procedures and policies.
  • Resolve issues and problems raised in field reports made by Architects and construction management staff.
  • Work with architects/engineers for change orders, interpretation of contract documents, shop drawing submittals/ approvals and other technical matters as required.
  • Review contractors claims or disputed work and advise management on appropriate actions.
  • Visit various sites from time to time.

Qualification &

Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field
  • 5 years experience as a technical construction specialist in one or more construction and design related fields
  • 5 years experience managing all phases of construction work
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Construction specific software (Primavera, MS Project, etc.)

CITE Content Solutions Developer and Conversion Lead - Standardized Workflow and Operations Job Description Summary The CITE Content Solutions Developer and Conversion Lead is a key role to the evolution of Pearson from a publishing organization to a digital courseware solutions provider. The CITE Content Solutions Developer and Conversion Lead will lead the vendor work associated with the CITE tool set, including the conversions workflow. This person is responsible for ensuring vendor teams are onboarded to the CITE tools, processes and trainings developed for our new digital delivery infrastructure. They will work with our vendors to ensure they are certified and trained for all phases on CITE work, and assist with providing updates, training, and re-certification as new processes are released. They will meet with SWOT and Lumos teams and ensure issues raised involving vendor work in CITE are addressed in a timely fashion and do not impact the schedules for production work. They will work with the CITE content Solutions Manager to ensure we are meeting all expected SLAs. This role will also assist with the development of training materials and help run or guide live training sessions as needed. The CITE Content Solutions Developer and Conversion Lead will primarily work independently to broaden the spectrum of conversions to standardize processes for Raw PXE, InDesign Conversions and beyond. In addition, this role will also give feedback on critical features needed in future conversion script releases as balanced against business priorities. This role will also play a part in vetting and establishing export requirements from the CITE toolset. The CITE Content Solutions Developer and Conversion Lead will work with the Vendor Services team to ensure we have enough vendors trained on various areas of the workflow to meet the demand. This role will vet and approve purchase orders for these services as well as track spending. This role will escalate concerns to the CITE Solutions Developer Manager as needed. Coordinates and communicates issues, documents affected titles, and ensures priorities are understood and communicated to the product teams as issues with conversions or the vendor work are documented. Manages communications and changes of reported issues to the team and manages communication between team members and the Technology Product teams. This role will also be responsible for escalating any critical global issues with capabilities and tools to the Director, Standardized Capabilities and Tools for appropriate escalation. As necessary, the CITE Content Solutions Developer and Conversion Lead will work with content teams to properly document and prioritize functionality requirements, as well as escalate and resolve issues as they arise. Due to the fluid nature of the work related to CITE and GLP, it must be understood that the day-to-day functions of this position may change, depending on priority needs and platform state. Assignment Scope * Collaborate with discipline and workflow leads to identify training needs and opportunities * Works with teams across several functional groups to ensure the most efficient, scaled, stable workflows are created. * Work with key stakeholders to help resolve (and escalate, if needed) CITE and GLP workflow-related issues and blockers * Work with product teams to assist with development of training plans, ensure processes are understood and fit for purpose, and serve as a single point of escalation for issues and roadblocks with GLP and CITE * Help teams understand the goals and timelines for GLP- and CITE-specific activities, including requirements gathering, pilot activities, user acceptance testing (UAT), and training. * Help facilitate title planning for CITE with discipline counterparts. Ensures relevant milestones are properly rolled up for review. Works with teams on a regular basis to ensure compliance with Smartsheets, RACI, workflows, etc. Works with content team to prioritize functionality requirements for CITE and GLP. Risk Identification and Mitigation: Ensures risks to content development and conversions are identified and escalated so proper mitigation can happen in a timely manner. Operations Management: Assists with communicating workflow and process guidelines to teams. Ensures the proper team members are consulted and participate in decisions as necessary. Decision Making: Assists with communicating overall status, issues being encountered, and any changes on technical or workflow processes with a focus on conversions.
