Job Description


Manages, & coordinates activities of projects to ensure that goals or objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and budget parameters.

Provides oversight to lead discipline Drafters, Engineers, project Coordinators and procurement representative assigned to the project.

Provide Project status reports including spreadsheets, memos and scheduling documents to other Customers as required.

Monitors and coordinates the execution of the various Projects and processes relating to client contracted agreements for project management and tenant improvements.

Resolves problems that arise due to inclement weather, emergencies, change orders, or other issues that may cause delays.

Qualifications and

Education Requirements:

Must have extensive knowledge of MS Excel and QuickBooks

Possess strong communication skills, both written and oral

Minimum 1 year of experience supporting multiple PMs and Projects under PMO --- PMP highly preferred. Ability to identify and utilize all available resources to the fullest extend at all times.

Bilingual English / Spanish a major plus (Must have full domain of the English language)

Comfortable working in a multiple disciplinary team environment.

The ideal candidate will: * Develop, implement, and maintain an ongoing quality assurance program for department case management programs. * Direct activities of professional and technical staff members and volunteers. * Evaluate the work of staff and volunteers to ensure that programs are of appropriate quality and that resources are used effectively. * Prepare and maintain records and reports, such as budgets, personnel records, or training manuals. * Oversee, coordinate, and evaluate case management programs and services * Direct operational activities and monitors performance with emphasis on efficiency and quality, customer satisfaction, and model/procedural adherence * Lead a team of Case Management staff, working closely with senior program staff to assure that staff exhibit a high level of skill in serving diverse populations * Coordinate and oversee the supervision and performance of program staff and contractual staff, monitor personnel matters such as recruitment, promotion, and disciplinary action * Responsible for the monitoring of statistical data, fiscal efficiency, and periodic reports * May plan, implement and oversee the program budget * Increase staff and program awareness and knowledge about case management evidence based and best practices. * Collaborate with other divisions and social service agencies to enhance programs and reduce duplication of services * Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems WORKING CONDITIONS The position is physically comfortable, the individual has discretion about walking, standing, etc. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Engineering or a closely related field. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Seven (7) years of progressive professional experience closely related to the activities of the division are required, with at least three (3) of the years in a supervisory capacity. A Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration or a field closely related to the activities of the division may be substituted for two (2) years of experience. Directly related professional experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis. LICENSE REQUIREMENTS Valid Driver's License and compliance with the City of Houston policy on driving (AP 2-2). PREFERENCES Preference shall be given to eligible veteran applicants provided such persons possess the qualifications necessary for competent discharge of the duties involved in the position applied for, such persons are among the most qualified candidates for the position, and all other factors in accordance with Executive Order 1-6. * Bachelor's degree in social work, Nursing, human services, psychology, social services or a related field (License/Master's preferred) * 7+ years of progressively responsible leadership with at least 5 years of management and strategy * Experience managing diverse teams and mentoring and developing staff * Experience in oversite of case management practices and protocol * Experience in Case Management process development and implementation * Experience in hiring, supervising, evaluating and developing staff. * Experience in communicating with and responding to oversight agencies/entities, general public, clients, etc GENERAL INFORMATION SELECTION / SKILSS TESTS REQUIRED Department may administer skills assessment test SAFETY IMPACT POSITION YES If yes, this position is subject to random drug testing and if a promotional position, candidate must pass an assignment drug test.
