Job Description


Manages, & coordinates activities of projects to ensure that goals or objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and budget parameters.

Provides oversight to lead discipline Drafters, Engineers, project Coordinators and procurement representative assigned to the project.

Provide Project status reports including spreadsheets, memos and scheduling documents to other Customers as required.

Monitors and coordinates the execution of the various Projects and processes relating to client contracted agreements for project management and tenant improvements.

Resolves problems that arise due to inclement weather, emergencies, change orders, or other issues that may cause delays.

Qualifications and

Education Requirements:

Must have extensive knowledge of MS Excel and QuickBooks

Possess strong communication skills, both written and oral

Minimum 1 year of experience supporting multiple PMs and Projects under PMO --- PMP highly preferred. Ability to identify and utilize all available resources to the fullest extend at all times.

Bilingual English / Spanish a major plus (Must have full domain of the English language)

Comfortable working in a multiple disciplinary team environment.

Develops and/or interprets guidelines, regulations, laws, policies and procedures for area of responsibility. Work requires contact with governmental officials, consultants, contractors and private entities. Employees at this level are virtually self-supervising and assume direct accountability for the work product. Duties The essential duties for this job include: * Coordinates and schedules field review inspections to ensure all negative findings receive proper response. * Develops and monitors budgets. * Evaluates and analyzes highly complex design issues. * Monitors audits of monthly and final estimates change orders, supplemental agreements, and extra work orders; reviews monthly and final estimates prior to submittal. * Monitors contracting, construction record-keeping and construction records auditing activities for multiple construction projects. * Oversees construction project assignments, determines work requirements to complete projects and coordinates scheduling to accommodate projects already underway. * Oversees design work among TxDOT entities, consultants and contractors. Oversees construction activities and provides advanced technical assistance in resolving construction problems. As required travels/drives to perform these essential duties. * Provides technical assistance in resolving construction problems related to contract administration. * Serves as program coordinator responsible for oversight and coordination of highly advanced engineering/architectural projects from initiation to completion. * Performs other job responsibilities as assigned. Competencies The required competencies for this job include: * Applicable plans, specifications and estimates preparation, review, processing and compliance requirements * Construction engineering policies and procedures * Applicable inspection methods, procedures and techniques * Building code standards and industry guidelines * Building construction and contractor field procedures * Americans with Disabilities Act, modifications and requirements including accessibility standards * Public relations for maintaining effective working relationships with individuals and groups * Reading and interpreting applicable plans, schematics, blueprints and maps * Planning, coordinating and handling multiple projects within area of responsibility to meet short and long term deadlines * Persuasion and negotiation of critical issues * Maintaining a safe working environment Education This job requires the following: * Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline Work Experience This job requires the following: * 5 years in building design, construction, and maintenance. (Experience can be satisfied by full-time or prorated part-time equivalent) Supervisory Experience * No supervisory experience required. Substitution * Relevant experience may be substituted for education on a year per year basis. Licenses and Certifications The following Licenses and/or Certifications are required for this job: * Safety Impact Certificate * Valid Driver's License Other Conditions: * This is a Safety Impact position and will be subject to random drug testing. Conditions of Employment * Safety Impact certifications are not required at the time of application.
