Your future duties and responsibilities
CGI is seeking a Project Manager II with 6-10+ years of relevant IT and Project Management experience to be responsible for the performance of a medium to large sized technical project, several small or medium sized projects, or a definable portion of a larger technical program in accordance with contract requirements and company policies, procedures and guidelines.

Directs and supervises all support resources for the performance of project assignments and activities. Manages the technical direction of a project through the design, implementation and testing in accordance with project objectives. You will be required to use our client's program management tools to manage project work plans, issues, risks, and dependencies. The candidate produce status reports and conducts status meetings and facilitates issue resolution and risk management sessions.

Comfortable with leading several work streams as part of a program.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

  • 6-10+ Years of progressive IT experience

  • 4-8+ years of project management experience with Waterfall and Agile Methodologies

  • A four year bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or related field (Post-Graduate degree is desired!)

  • Excellent planning skills using industry planning applications (i.e. Microsoft Project) and methodologies (specifically Waterfall Project Management and Agile preferred)

  • Attention to detail, and strong communication, negotiation, client facing and client relationship building skills

  • Ability to resolve technical issues and to manage, coordinate and guide a project team

  • Strong issue resolution and risk management skills

  • Previous experience using project management methodologies
