Position: Project Manager

Location: Centris Headquarters (132nd & Pacific St)

General Summary:

The primary purpose of this position is to assist Centris Federal Credit Union in our mission to be a trusted life-long financial partner. This position performs business analysis and project management support to assist Centris leadership in implementing change initiatives, maximizing operational performance, making well informed business and strategic decisions, and managing the effectiveness and risk of programs and corporate initiatives. The position leads and participates on project teams, as assigned, to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner within project scope, budget, and defined quality standards.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Provide leadership to the organization and staff by promoting and modeling the Centris Vision, Mission, Values and Team Principles.

  • Models and advocates best practices relative to business analysis and project management.

  • Support and participate in community involvement initiatives.

  • Support and participate in professional trade organizations.

  • Service: Provide unparalleled service to both internal business partners and Centris members in accordance with the Centris Service Promises.

  • Create and/or develop long lasting partnerships with internal members, vendors, and other business contacts.

  • Serve internal members by identifying needs, recommending solutions, and performing functional duties efficiently, accurately, and timely.

  • Business Analysis

  • Enables change within the organization by working with Centris leadership and other stakeholders to identify business unit needs and recommending solutions that deliver value to stakeholders.
  • Work with various department managers to transform business concepts into business requirements, leading to deliverables that drive project plans, timelines, and implementation. Gather and document business requirements, conduct research, formulate use cases, participate in solution design. Track requirements, provide status, and ensure quality of solution throughout the project.

  • Researches and analyzes opportunities for process improvement with the processes and systems of the organization. Collaborates with business, operational and technology experts, and makes recommendations surrounding improving processes, workflows, efficiency, and practices. Simulates and tests process improvements. Communicates changes and may provide training to impacted business units.

  • Project Leader

  • Leads project teams, as assigned, to deliver successful outcomes within project scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Acts as an advocate of corporate project management practices to facilitate organizational adoption and proficiency.

  • Discover issues and determine scope, scale, and impact; escalating when necessary to VP, Strategy and Planning and/or executive sponsor.

  • Represent the business unit in identifying, analyzing, and communicating system solutions to internal and external partners.

  • Create project documents, such as project plan, solution feature/functionality, test plans, test scenarios, business requirements, workflows, and status summaries.

Job Requirements:

  • Technical Skills and Experience Requirement

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Business Analysis, Project Management, Information Systems, or related field, and/or additional related work experience.

  • Must have at least one to three (1-3) years of experience in project management and/or business analysis, preferably in a financial institution. Experience must include:

  • One (1) to two (2) years of experience analyzing data.

  • One (1) to two (2) years of experience analyzing business processes and workflows.

  • One (1) to two (2) years of experience supporting project teams

  • One (1) to two (2) years using a project management software (preferably Asana) to manage work

  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Associate in Project Management (APM), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA) designation preferred.

  • People Skills Requirement

  • Must have the ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment.

  • Must be able to effectively communicate with senior leadership, managers, members, staff, vendors, credit union volunteers, financial institutions, community leaders or partners, and other business contacts.

  • Must be able to effectively present information and/or facilitate meetings of a small or moderate sized group.

  • Physical Skills Requirement

  • Must be able to effectively access and interpret computer screens, documents, and small print reports.

  • Must be able to operate general office equipment.

  • Other Requirements

  • Regular and punctual attendance at the assigned work location is required.

  • Must be able to work the hours necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.

  • Must be knowledgeable in BSA and compliance requirements enforced on the credit union by state and federal law as applicable.

  • Must present a professional image.

  • Must be bondable.
