Role Summary:We are looking for an experienced Project & Program Manager to drive execution of both R&D and business led projects. These projects span from frontend research & NPI through to manufacturing (e.g. cost-down, yield, throughput). You will help to execute the projects, continuously assess and mitigate risks, work in a cross functional global team, ensuring accurate reporting horizontally and vertically within the organization, and execute all other project & program management activities.

Essential Responsibilities:
Project planning, specification and proposal writing

  • Reporting and tracking project resource and budget allocation, both internally and within subcontractors

  • Maintaining a driving rhythm within both R&D and cross functional groups to deliver projects

  • Acting as a bridge amongst various GE sites globally and making sure that there is a coherence in the teams

  • Liaising with and working with Suppliers and our CMO to ensure seamless production and maintenance of quality

  • Leading cross-functional program activities for Cell and Gene Therapy projects with responsibility for timely completion within budget

  • Managing and optimizing project plans, product/project risk, project budgets, and resources/task assignments

  • Working closely with all support functions, effectively facilitating cross-functional decision making to deliver effective and timely new product development process results

  • Ensuring compliance with Design History File (DHF) and other QMS requirements

  • Managing customer critical-to-quality (CTQ) objectives, regulatory requirements, schedules, and program risks and making decisions based on business objectives

  • Provide periodic stakeholder communications and escalating concerns and issues as necessary

  • Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position

  • Identifying and managing project & program risks and collaboratively working on program risks with cross functional teams

  • Being part of the GE CG&T project management group to help improving PM methodologies and processes while working on designated project/s,

Qualifications/Requirements:
. 5+ years' experience as a Project Manager or in a technical role in a product development environment;

  • Experience in regulated industries highly desirable, preferably in Life Sciences

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific, engineering or technical discipline

  • In-depth understanding of working to ISO9001 and ISO13485 minimum

  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office Programs

  • Highly developed analytical skills

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Experience in running projects with over $5M budget and demonstrated successful project closures

Desired Characteristics: PMI Project Management certification

  • Proven ability to deliver large and complex projects

  • Ability to converse with a broad spectrum of personalities, and possessing strong interpersonal skills

  • Fast learner, willingness to adapt to new environments

  • Willingness to travel between GE and supplier sites

  • Subject matter expertise at least in one of the following technical areas; SW, HW, Disposable, Biology

  • Candidates with strong technical background in combination with strong Project Management skills & experiences will be preferred

Responsibilities: Project Development • Conduct extensive due diligence to gather pertinent information that assists in project scope development. • With input from stakeholders & team members: develop project scope, establish project time lines and budgets that allow for the delivery of the project within given constraints. • Explain implications of changes to project scope and/or objectives to the key stakeholders and to the project team. • Lead the team to prioritize project work based on analysis of strategic importance, tasks outstanding, obstacles or barriers, budgets, resources and deadlines. • Create, or participate in the creation of, project documentation. • Establish and maintain a usable and well-communicated schedule for all phases of a project. • Work with the project team to ensure scope changes are understood & approved. Project Accounting and Budgeting • Analyze basic financial models: P&L, EBITDA, NPV to assist in project feasibility discussions • Develops initial budgets & executive summary of work for review and approval. • Work with project team to manage change orders & changes in scope which impact project cost • Review and approve project related work proposals & invoices Project Control • Manage scope changes through stakeholder change orders, phased delivery or other methods to ensure projects deliver on time line, scope, budget and strategy expectations. • Evaluate all project deliverables, as well as final product to ensure highest possible quality and acceptance for turnover to Operations. • Actively identify and mitigate potential project roadblocks to maximize likelihood of project success. • Responsible for securing sign off on project scope; this will often include coordinating involvement from multiple external & internal stakeholders • Ensure project meets all stakeholder expectations with respect to quality, budget, delivery time lines, and strategy • Identify, track, manage and mitigate risk on specific project deliverables. Escalate these issues when necessary to ensure minimal impact to quality, budget, and time line. • Where project control is in jeopardy, create contingency plans with appropriate input from key team members and implement a revised project schedule, scope or budget in a timely manner. Project Communication • Work with all pertinent stakeholders to ensure they achieve an understanding of expectations, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and progress. • Develop and communicate reporting for the project team & stakeholders • Use sound judgment in all project communication and ensure that key stakeholders are informed of any pertinent project developments in a timely manner. • As needed, utilize customized reporting systems such as E-Builder to satisfy stakeholder requirements • Communicate progress, risks, expectations, time lines, milestones and other key project metrics to team members and stakeholders. Resource Management • Determine & manage project roles of team members based on project requirements, time frames and deliverable deadlines. • When necessary, work with external stakeholders to manage issues and maintain project scope, schedule & budget. • Define competencies required for the project based on project specifications and requirements and allocate resources accordingly. • Determine resource requirements (e.g.: team members, software, external design consultants) of projects, based on project specifications.
