About the role
The purpose of this position is to generate, handle and support the implementation of energy and sustainability initiatives within an account for one of our large healthcare clients. This person will need to be onsite in Dallas, TX or Columbus, OH 3 days a week and might need to travel up to 10%
This role has ownership of, accountability to, and responsibility for, helping the client meet their global sustainability goals.
What you'll do
Ensures that global energy and sustainability standards are applied throughout the handled properties.
Responsible for identifying and implementing energy and cost saving strategies for utilities within an account.
Provides input into quarterly CapEx and OpEx spend and budget forecasting.
Coordinates implementation of new efficiency technologies with support from the global energy and sustainability platform. Coordinates with utility incentive and rebate programs and tracks documentation accordingly.
Develops, updates, communicates and implements energy efficiency standards, water efficiency standards and best in class waste and recycling processes.
Manages resource initiatives for all sites/regions/portfolio, as assigned.
Develops and presents monthly energy and sustainability status and variance reports. Monitors and reports on energy use, water use, waste diversion rates and spending trends.
Engages account team and the global energy and sustainability platform to identify and develop projects. Responsible for formalizing the scope, obtaining quotes, performing project savings analysis, energy calculations and obtaining project approval. Tracking project progression and tracking associated energy, dollar and GHG savings in software tools for reporting purposes.
Engages with CBRE's Principal Projects Group (PPG) when appropriate to help scope, price and execute energy projects
Work and collaborate with other CBRE's on account teams (Engineering team, facilities management, Project Management, Lifecycle asset management, etc.)
Collaborates with the global platform on the implementation and management of energy and sustainability projects in a timely and accurate fashion.
Assists leadership team with site surveys and energy plans at other accounts as appropriate.
Support activities related to the formal review and unscheduled audit of numerous Strategic Alliance Partners, and external outside service providers to ensure conformance with documented CBRE or Customer policy, procedures and guidelines.
Communicate past, present and future energy plans and performance through formal presentations to account team.
Other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year College or university. Minimum of five years of related experience and/or training.

Preferred Qualifications:
CEM and LEED accreditation. Training and accreditation part of development and performance management requirements.
Ability and comfort level to communicate and present to client senior leadership
