We are seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to work on our Business Transformation Operations and Execution (BTOE) team in San Jose, CA. This is a contract for 6 months plus.

JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Business Transformation Operations and Execution (BTOE) team is a new team that has been established to optimize how we manage and execute Transformation projects. The Senior IT Project Manager will reside in the BTOE and will provide project management services for Transformation projects. In addition, the Senior IT Project Manager will assist in building out this new capability.

As part of the new BTOE team, the Senior IT Project Manager will be required to coordinate and lead cross-functional project teams throughout the company. To be successful in this role, the Senior IT Project Manager must be able to build close partnerships and work collaboratively with various cross-functional organizations, teams and individuals across the business. The role will interact with all levels of project team members, subject matter experts, management and leadership throughout the company. He/She is responsible to understand the business process and direct tasks in support of the overall business strategy.

Strong in business process - business awareness, ability to recognize patterns and think strategically about a solution that ties to a greater objective / purpose (big picture person)

  • Experience working with Global and Cross-Functional Teams

  • Experience with large companies (need the scale perspective)

  • Experience with system and process consolidation

  • Tenacious and persistent

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage project deliverables and milestones within approved timelines and budget

  • Utilize System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Project Management Methodology to manage the development, customization, configuration, testing, and implementation of Business/IT systems

  • Manage and coordinate day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of approved projects

  • May lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues

  • Build relationships and collaborate cross-functionally to lead project delivery teams towards successful project outcomes

  • Document decisions and action items of team meetings

  • Assist with the collection, consolidation, and review of large Business/IT program dash boards

  • Collect risks, issues, and dependencies associated with larger programs

  • Run review meetings with other Project/Program Managers

  • Assist with the development of standard SDLC methodologies (Waterfall, Agile/Scrum)

  • Assist with the development of harmonized Program/Project Management methodologies

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA preferred or equivalent experience

  • 15+ years of relevant industry experience, with at least 10 years of hands-on Project Management Experience.

  • Excellent business systems analysis and project management skills

  • Experience with M&A/integration related projects

  • Significant knowledge of the SDLC methodologies

  • Must possess strong documentation skills and can work with rapid change and fast pace

  • High energy and ability to work both independently and across multiple teams in very fast growth environment

  • Exceptionally collaborative, flexible and adaptable when working with customers and various teams.

  • Self-motivated and self-directed, however, must have demonstrated ability to work well as team

  • A proven desire to work as a team member, both on the same team and outside of the team

  • Ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex problems

  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills

  • Proven ability to be a team player in geographically dispersed teams

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills to manage complex process and technology issues

  • Excellent desktop software skills - MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio, etc

Additional Desired Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desired
  • MBA a plus
