GENERAL SUMMARY

This role is responsible for project management and design oversight for a variety of

architectural/building design and construction projects across the airport campus

anticipated to exceed $1 billion in contract value over the next ten years. Major

responsibilities of this position include management of consultants and contractors,

design oversight, procurement support, construction monitoring and oversight,

coordination of tenants, business partners and other RDU departments, as well as a

range of other responsibilities needed to ensure the successful outcome of projects.

Example projects that this position may work on over the next 3 to 5-year period include

design and construction of a new Consolidated Rental Car Facility; landside component

expansion of Terminal 2 in addition to an expanded Customs and Border Protection

Facility; expansion of Terminal 1; design and construction of a new Airport Operations

Center combined with an ARFF station; major concession redevelopment in both

terminals; various other support buildings associated with a medium-hub commercial

airport.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge of:

  • Project planning and budgeting

    elevators, escalators, stairs, and associated permits

  • Developing or rehabilitating building infrastructures and systems

  • Prepare, evaluate, monitor, and maintain complex operating budgets and capital program budgets
  • Plan, organize and direct work on complex projects involving building infrastructure and systems; ability to promote consensus and negotiate favorable outcomes
  • Research current and future trends to establish programs for existing and new buildings
  • Create and meet schedules and deadlines of the work
  • Understand and carry out oral and written directions Accurately organize and maintain paper documents and electronic files
  • Maintain the confidentiality of information and professional boundaries
  • Requirements

    Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Architecture, a building engineering discipline (i.e.,
  • mechanical, electrical, structural, etc.) or related field

    Experience:

  • 5+ years related experience at a commercial service airport the size and scope of
  • RDU with emphasis on the project types noted above

    Licenses and/or Certifications:

  • Licensed Architect or Engineer desirable but not required
  • Project Management certification desired but not required
  • LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) certification (preferred)

This is an exciting new opportunity for the right candidate to Project Manage the Finance Pillar within this program initiative.</p><p>Job Responsibilities:</p><ul><li><p>Overall accountability for the day-to-day execution &amp; project management of the Finance Pillar within the cloud transformation initiative.</p></li><li><p>Will work closely with the Business Pillar Lead, Global Process Owners and supporting workstreams leads across IT, OCM, Data &amp; reporting and GRC to enable effective delivery of all activities within the Finance pillar.</p></li><li><p>Responsible for accurate &amp; comprehensive status reporting to the program leadership team and executive steering committee.</p></li><li><p>Responsible for maintaining &amp; monitoring resources levels across the pillar, balancing demand and addressing issues with relevant workstream leads &amp; stakeholders, escalating as appropriate.</p></li><li><p>Driving accountability to planned dates, creating and maintaining schedules in collaboration with System Integrators, 3rd party vendors &amp; relevant stakeholders.</p></li><li><p>Accountable for tracking risks &amp; issues, identifying appropriate mitigation strategies, and providing timely escalation.</p></li><li><p>Provide a point of escalation &amp; coordination within the Finance Pillar for connected verticals &amp; horizontals within the program structure.</p></li></ul><p>#LI - KW1</p><ul><li><p>Assess and appropriately route key decisions, scope amendments &amp; change orders up through to the Program structure for consideration.</p></li><li><p>Ensure all project deliverables align with the overarching business case &amp; strategic objectives of the Program.</p></li></ul><p>Qualifications</p><p>As a healthcare company we have an important responsibility to protect individual and public health. Syneos will not take an adverse action (i.e., refuse to hire a candidate) because the candidate is unwilling to provide proof of vaccination.</p><p>Skills &amp; Experience:</p><ul><li><p>8+ years of project management experience, managing multiple large, complex and cross functional projects, with emphasis on product development systems and technical environments.</p></li><li><p>Experience working on, or implementing, ERP Finance Systems. Comfortable with the fundamental concepts of finance process management and how financial modules inter-relate e.g. GL, Asset Management, AP, AR etc.</p></li><li><p>Previous experience with implementing cloud based solutions or familiar with the concepts of cloud based architecture and its implementation</p></li><li><p>Prior experience with managing projects with $1m+ budgets &amp; providing monthly finance analysis/reporting</p></li><li><p>Ability to lead and drive projects to completion - previously completed large projects from beginning to end. Demonstrated leadership skills. English proficiency required. Strong computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Proficiency with accounting software packages are necessary and Oracle Finance experience strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to work with confidential and sensitive data. Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment is essential.
