Job Description:

This is professional services work of a managerial nature performing project management for transportation engineering within the Department Transportation.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting in the management, development, and delivery of MaineDOT's infrastructure for a significant number and variety of moderately complex, public capital improvement projects statewide,
• Maintaining project budgets,
• Authorizing, monitoring and controlling expenditures,
• Assisting and mentoring construction personnel,
• Ensuring compliance with the contract documents and assisting in conflict resolution, and,
• Managing and assigning MaineDOT and consultant construction staffing.

Supervision is exercised over professional engineers and professional/technical staff members who perform engineering related work and activities. This classification reports to the Senior Project Manager (winters) and the Assistant Program Manager (summers).

To be minimally qualified for this position candidates must provide evidence of the following experience:

Licensure as a Professional Engineer or twelve (12) years experience in technical engineering.
