Main Purpose of the Job

To manage and deliver Complex Chemicals projects globally and with external partners, within budget, to agreed quality standards and other stipulated criteria

Role and Responsibilities

• To manage and deliver Complex Chemicals projects globallyand with external partners, on-time, within budget, to agreed quality standards and other stipulated criteria.

• Liaise with R&D, QC and QA regarding project work.

• Regular meetings with stakeholder to discuss project progress.

• Report writing for Complex Chemicals projects.

• Review of chemistry and preparation of quotations/proposals for Complex Chemicals projects.

• Provide ongoing support for all projects chemists are working on. Give advice on problematic projects.

• Liaise with sales department regarding new product enquiries.

Requirements

• PhD in Chemistry is required

• A recognised project management qualification would be desirable

• Experience within a similar role is essential

• A deep understanding of organic synthetic chemistry

• Ability to interpret analytical data for Complex Chemicals

• Experience of performing synthetic organic chemistry in either an industrial or academic environment.

• Experience of writing scientific reports.

• Experience of managing organic synthetic chemistry projects would be beneficial

• Ability to speak Hindi or Gujarati would be beneficial
