Job Description:
We are actively seeking a Project Manager who is a highly motivated leader to join our Industrial team in our Memphis, TN location. The successful candidate must have experience in executing projects in the Chemical, Pulp and Paper, Metals or other heavy industrial market sectors, ideally with experience as an Owner or in an Owner Representative role. Qualified candidates will have a solid working understanding of the relevant process systems, experience managing client interaction & expectations and being able to identify & help develop new business opportunities.
Responsibilities
Actively drive client relationships, including project estimating, justification and proposal development. Business development acumen is a key attribute of this candidate.
Act as the Main point of contact with the client and clients project leader. Provides client with communications, updates, RFI's etc as needed on a regular basis
Able to translate experience as an Owner to lead design and integration, procurement, and/or construction phase of projects by working with engineering professionals to ensure the design meets the project requirements.
Manage budget, scope and schedule of all phases of the project.
The candidate must excel at being able to communicate across a multi-office, multi-disciplinary team.
Manages all aspects of medium-sized or moderately complex projects
Requirements
7+ years of project management experience in executing projects for the pulp and paper, chemical, metals or other heavy industrial industries.
Highly motivated leader with varied experience managing projects of different sizes and types.
A background in facility or unit operations within the industry is a plus.
A sound understanding of project management fundamentals - scheduling resources, managing and forecasting costs.
Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact within both engineering and operational environments with both clients, and suppliers.
Ability to develop, maintain and grow solid client relationships.
Experience with Client development, consulting and experience in the preparation of proposals for engineering services are highly desirable.
Willing and able to travel as necessary for project requirements to include but not be limited to: project installation and start-up activities, client meetings, company sponsored meetings, trainings, industry related seminars, forums, or conventions, etc.
