Job Summary
The Strategic Delivery team at Barings is seeking an experienced project manager to join its team. This position will be located in the Barings' Charlotte, NC office. As a project manager within the Strategic Delivery team, this individual will be responsible for leading various activities along the strategic project life cycle including: scoping, planning/ design, execution, testing, delivery and closing. This individual will liaise with all levels of associates and management including senior management in addition to third party vendors and consultants as applicable.
Primary Responsibilities
Ensuring project initiatives are aligned appropriately with the strategic goals of the firm
Assists the business with defining the scope and milestones of projects to ensure timely delivery
Creates comprehensive project plans including establishment of task and project deadlines in partnership with business partners and project resources
Organizes resources during the planning, execution, testing, delivery, and closing phase of projects; communicates project issues and status to key stakeholders and PMO management
Ensures ongoing global project communication via status update and decision meetings during each phase of the project
Prepares project reporting for senior management regarding the status of project, scope changes, delivery issues
Assists the project team in developing any required workflows and associated documentation around new processes developed in the project
Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
Performs functions as both a project manager and business analyst in execution of project work to not only manage the accomplishment of project tasks, but help to design and implement process change and support models as an extension of the project team
Qualifications
Four-year college degree in accounting, finance or related business field
4+ years of project management experience including the management of large scale projects
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
PMP Certification
Experience managing a range of technology and Enterprise Data programs
Exceptional organizational and time management skills
Deep Experience of Agile methodologies, i.e., Scrum, Kanban
Strong organizational and time management skills
Experience with Microsoft products and industry standard delivery tools: Office (Clarity, MS Accelerator, HP Quality Center or other testing products, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Azure Dev Ops)
Additional Desired Qualifications
CFA, CAIA , CPA, or other financial services designation
Previous experience within a program management, strategic change office, or consulting organization
PMI or Agile certification preferred
Experience with Microsoft AzDo Boards
