The Project Manager Associate manages, prioritizes and organizes identified projects and assists the risk management department on projects involving insurance, investigations and other daily activities. Prepares and distributes project plans and schedules, facilitates meetings and ensures that project timelines/deliverables/deadlines are met. Ensures that all stakeholders and relevant parties are kept abreast of the status of assigned projects. Develops, applies and facilitates the project management and change control process.

Your Everyday

Maintains records and production of information:

  • Gathers, maintains and produces internal and external information related to LCMC's insurance program.

  • Assists in the yearly planning, tracking and analysis of required information from a variety of partners within the organization.

Develops analytical system data reports:

  • Gathers, maintains, produces data reports related to LCMC's claims and occurrence reporting systems.

Collaborates with other teams:

  • Works with internal risk and legal team members/managers, and outside counsel to gather and maintain documentation for potential and active litigation, transactional or operational matters.

  • Manages multiple, concurrent departmental and organizational projects from beginning to end in conjunction with other members of the department and organization.

  • Monitors performance and progress against documented objectives, timelines, milestones and deliverables.

Supports the Risk Management department:

  • Schedules and supports day to day meetings and operations for the Risk Management department.

  • Communicates and manages expectations and criteria to department members, vendors and other stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Provides support for maintenance of malpractice coverage:

  • Maintains and produces necessary documents to the patient's compensation fund in conjunction with excess insurer to provide malpractice coverage for outlying LCMC entities.

The Must-Haves

Minimum:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Required: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent OR 2 years of work experience.

  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree AND 1 year of experience in a hospital, risk management, or financial setting particularly with regard to trending and working with data and oversight of financial metrics.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Exhibit a high degree of customer service, cooperation, teamwork, initiative and exceptional judgement.

  • Demonstrated ability to achieve time-based objectives, balance multiple priorities, communicate effectively while remaining organized.

  • Excellent communication skills (bother verbal and written).
