And none of us here would have it any other way.Apple is looking for an experienced Project Manager and a problem solver to manage business process and system improvement initiatives for the App Store & iTunes Gift Card organization.
Initiatives will include all business areas sales, marketing, merchandising, and operations. Projects include: sales forecast review process, promotion planning, merchandising planning, card production, and distribution. You will be responsible for managing cross-functional project teams to define, build and roll-out innovative system and business process solutions that increase efficiency, improve customer satisfaction, and drive revenue.
The role includes the ability to lead resources, prepare appropriate project documentation, delegate tasks to team members, effectively communicate project status, manage project risks, implement change management and conduct training. In addition to being an excellent project manager, who can influence and collaborate across all levels of organization, you should have strong ability to design and develop solutions for complex problems by having deep understanding of the business operations and system solutions. You will also support ongoing key business activities such as the monthly sales review and the annual business planning where the business initiatives are created and prioritized.
Ability to define and lead strategic projects and execute at tactical project-level activities and tasks Solid understanding of project management methodology with 5+ years of leading medium (6 to 8 months) sized projects involving systems in business operations Validated ability to manage to deadlines and meet cost constraints Strong communication and presentations skills Strong change management leadership skills Excellent organizational and documentation skills Innovative problem solver Ability to work with ambiguity Self-motivated, driven individual who is comfortable working in a global, fast-paced environment
Lead and implement innovative process and system improvement initiatives across all functional groups in the App Store & iTunes Gift Card organization by driving/leading/coordinating project effort involving cross-functional team members Leverage industry trends, best practices, and leading-edge technology and process improvement ideas Incorporate Apple best practices for project management to ensure consistent delivery of quality projects.You will drive or own the following:Project Plan/Schedules Weekly project meetings Project issue resolution Project status communication, task management, and risk Business requirements and solution brainstorming sessions
Business Requirements Documents Project documentation including process mapping Process and system solutions User Acceptance Testing Change management
Training on new process and system changes
Partner successfully with IS&T and all other stakeholders to ensure process and system solutions are well integrated into the current and future business capabilities. Monitor market / industry trends and emerging technologies to identify areas for vast improvements in business operations efficiency
Manage on-going key business activities such as sales, promotions and business planning
Bachelors degree / MBA Preferred
