Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, highbandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks,Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable theelectronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMsglobally. We are currently seeking a Project Manager to join our High Speed IOConnector team. The position will be located in Valley Green, PA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position will be responsible for managing and providing technicalleadership to OverPass and/or High-Speed Connectors projects and customerprograms solutions, and managing project planning, project budget, and projectexecution.

Manage the project and the project team while contributing to the projectscope and project objectives as well as assuring all steps are completedProvide communication interface to customer for communication of projectstatus, schedule, requirements, etc.Manage and provide technical leadership to project teams across multiplesites throughout the execution of product development projectsSchedule and manage internal team meetings to address necessary action itemsand keep projects on scheduleManage internal and external suppliers for on time completion of actionsTimely communication to management for resource requirements to keepprojects on scheduleDefine product specifications and project scope to ensure it is in line withmarket / customer needs and ensure development of the product / processaccordinglyMake sure that projects are in accordance with the financial objectivesincluding creation, review, submission of capital requests, review and submittalof product costing information, and management of project scope creepMake decisions in order to speed up the process and ensure the best time tomarket, time to volume and time to profitabilityEnsure application of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles duringproduct developmentEnsure that capacity planning is performed through the project phases sothat supply meets expected demandProvide project updates to functional management on a regular basisEnsure systems are set up for ordering / manufacturing of productsManage and reduce risks including the development of alternatives using riskreduction tools in order to maintain project objectives and schedulesManage innovation/technology development projects

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline4+ years of experience in program/project management including root causeanalysis4+ years of related experience in development engineering role and/ortraining within the High Speed Cables and/or Connector industry, preferredExperience using:Project Management softwareSpreadsheet software (Excel)Word Processing software (Word)Presentation software (PowerPoint)
