    Job Description:


Understand complexities of a large program and provide guidance for the development teams.

Interact with product managers and other organizational units such as QA, operations, and external IT partners.

Negotiate scope, schedule, and funding with external IT and business partners.

Establish common goals across multiple teams, and define useful metrics and reporting to track team performance.

Manage milestones across multiple teams.

Lead teams of engineers through the completion of all phases of the project.

10+ years of consulting industry experience, with strong relationship management, account management, and sales support experience.

Must have had Program Management experience in setting up and running a PMO and should be able to manage multiple projects on different tracks.

Highly proficient in collaborating with project stakeholders, end-users, business partners, and technical team members to deliver high quality projects.

Hands on with project documentation. Well-versed in industry best-practices and current technologies.

Must have prior background in managing large, multi-team engagements.

Experience with Global Delivery Model is preferred.

Hands-on experience with proposal creation and leading proposal presentations.

Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

Wide variety of IT and business consulting engagement experience.

Flexibility to travel.

Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution.
Preferred skills:

PMP Certification

VIEW JOBS 10/31/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-01-29T00:00 Description: Reporting to the Digital Experience Center-s (DEC) Program Management Office Director, the Program Manager III is an opportunity for a Senor Manager seeking to craft and build new models to create a higher level of best practices in Agile Software Delivery. The DEC PMO will be responsible for Kaiser Permanente-s deployment of digital functionalities. We are shifting away from integrated releases every 2 years to accelerated releases in 2-week cycles, program managing in squads around core product functions. The Program Manager is responsible for designing and leading programs associated with strategic business issues and opportunities. The Program Manager may manage specific aspects of one or more programs, or multiple aspects of a single program within the organization. Criteria for moving from one level to the next includes greater skills and knowledge, built on experience (track record) and job assignments. This job family is intended for use in non-clinical/non-hospital settings. Must complete panel interview with PM Council members and receive level qualification for level 3. Preferred: * In-depth experience in Agile Software Delivery (not Waterfall) * Demonstrated success in change management and strategic thinking * In depth Program Management experience across teams including UX and Product Management Essential Functions: * Lead large and/or complex work streams with significant program impact. * Effectively deploy and organize resources, developing timetables and targets and checking progress against them. * Create a clear, logical and realistic plan of activities which streamlines the program process. * Manage programs utilizing best-practice program management approaches to deliver against approved estimates for quality on-time and on-budget programs and programs. * Develop and clearly communicate the contributing factors of business value for programs and KP. * Constantly seek ways of improving existing quality assurance tools and processes. * Develop and analyze program interdependencies in order to effectively structure and manage complex programs and understand potential impacts. * Anticipate and identify complex engagement issues, monitor the program and realistically measure the risk factors. * Design strategically aligned approach by identifying operational and strategic implications throughout program work. * Translate business client expectations into practical, implementable program objectives, which aim to provide integrated total solutions. * Think through how one program or recommendation may impact or interfere with others. * Identify barriers to change and accept and manage ambiguity/complexity in programs/program, and effectively guide teams in dealing with change barriers and program constraints. * Implement continuous quality control of process and deliverables. * Meet with key players to test ideas, identify issues and gain commitment on recommendations. * Use commonalities/differences among team members' goals, values, and problem-solving styles to generate multiple alternatives in leading group to achieve a result. * Continually monitor quality of service across functions and systems. * Select team members based on a consideration of a variety factors: availability, timing, etc. * Conduct effective reviews while empowering team members to develop stretch goals and improve performance. * Analyze the training needs of the organization and identify relevant training material/courses to address these needs. * Build effective networks of internal and external subject matter expert contacts; Contribute to the development of tools and capabilities.
