The Project Manager establishes, promotes, and implements strategic initiatives, to reduce melt from graduate enrollment through the use of alumni ambassadors. The incumbent in this position supports the strategic themes, including but not limited to, the management of the admissions alumni ambassador project, provides competitor analysis on the use of alumni in admissions, and helps the yield coordinator in reducing withdrawals from graduate programs enrollment through engagement with enrolled or prospective students.

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS

Manages specific projects, such as the creation of the admissions alumni ambassador program.

Conducts market assessment of alumni admissions ambassador programs and provides strategic insights on improvements to be made at Miami Herbert.

Conducts one-to-one conversations with enrolled students to keep them engaged in the Miami Herbert Community and survey their needs prior to orientation.

Sources alumni or attends as an alumni representative occasional admissions webinars, welcome events, open houses, and other local recruitment activities.

Serves as a liaison between all parties involved, managing activities and communications to further the consideration and initiation of opportunities.

Ensures required project information is regularly communicated to university leadership and other stakeholders.

Initiates, establishes, and maintains business relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external to the organization.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Bachelor's degree in relevant field

Master's degree

Certification and Licensing:

Not Applicable

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:

  • Knowledge of business and management principles.

  • Ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations.

  • Ability to establish department goals and objectives that support the strategic plan.

  • Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
