Kimley-Horn is looking for a Professional Engineer with 10+ years of project management experience in roadway projects (TxDOT, within the agency or as a consultant) to act as a trainer in developing Project Management training curriculum and delivering training across the state (both in person and virtually). Candidates must have thorough knowledge and experience with the complete transportation project life cycle including feasibility studies, schematic production, environmental planning, specifications and estimates (PS&E), and construction.

In addition, this role will require strong presentation skills for teaching and training in both physical and virtual classroom settings. As a statewide Trainer the person hired for this role will be responsible for training in all TxDOT districts and will need to travel an average of one week per month.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of TxDOT project management experience

  • Professional Engineer License in the state of Texas

  • PMP certification is strongly preferred

  • Ability to develop and deliver project, program, and portfolio management training curriculum

  • Strong presentation skills in front of groups/classes

  • Ability to develop and implement course work
