Coordinate and support assigned efforts in support of small to medium projects. Manage delegated aspects of larger assigned projects. Learns to independently manage larger scale projects.

Responsibilities

  • Project Management

For low-complexity projects (based on budget, number of resources, number of sites, technology environment, or stakeholder environment) or delegated components of high-complexity projects, identify and use appropriate project management tools and concepts (scope management, planning, budget management, risk/ issue management, communications management). Develops and execute work plan. Set priorities for tasks based on importance and urgency. Coordinate meetings and events (scheduling, facility logistics). Develops reports and updates, create/ maintain electronic and hard copy project files

  • Project Execution

Create work products and project deliverables, both independently and under direction of team members. Understand and meet expectations for deliverable quality and timeliness

  • Research and Analysis

Perform primary and secondary data collection (e.g., literature reviews), summarize findings, draw appropriate conclusions, and effectively communicate results to team. Coordinate collection of data. Conduct/ support basic qualitative and quantitative analysis of project data. Support and execute regulatory/ reporting activities related to projects (e.g., IRB, updates/ reports to funding agencies, etc.)

  • Communication

Manage communication to and relationships with key project stakeholders. Compose, edit, and deliver written and verbal communications. Facilitate small group discussions. Keep team members appropriately informed.

Required:

  • Associates Degree AND 5 years of experience in a project-based environment OR Equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 3 years of experience in a project-based environment

  • Experience coordinating/ executing projects of highly complex projects

Responsibilities * ANALYTIC CONSULTATION: Under the direction and support a Lead DSA, Senior Decision Support Analyst, or Operations Director, meet designated internal and/or external customers' basic and moderate analytic needs. This could include helping customers create and populate a dashboard using reporting technologies within the group. * PERFORMANCE METRICS Assist designated Lead and/or Senior DSA to manage their portfolios of performance metrics. Managing performance metrics means updating values on a regular basis, automating the updates if possible. It also means responding to questions about the metrics from customers, which may include initial investigation into reasons for special cause. The analyst may also assume primary responsibility for their own portfolio of metrics. * QUALITY IMPROVEMENT: Support quality Improvement Activities in CCHMC Strategic Initiatives. Serve as a data and/or analytic resource for one or more initiative-based teams. Work with AC initiative-based teams to understand, document and respond to data requirements to meet reporting and analytic needs. * INTERNAL SYSTEMS SUPPORT: Assist in the development of department-wide systems for automating the production of performance metrics, maintaining data management systems, developing visualizations and displays for performance metrics, developing and implementing processes for validating metric values. Skills & Competencies * Analytics/Statistics Analytic insight, problem-solving skills, and skill with statistical methods; skill with statistical process control a plus. * Analytic Consultant Ability to serve as an analytic consultant to senior leadership, division chiefs, physicians, business directors, and other customers who may not have analytic skills. * Flexibility and Adaptability Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability. * Attention to Detail Demonstrated attention to detail. * Technology Ability to manage multiple projects independently. Programming skill in SAS, advanced Excel, SQL, Visual Basic, ACCESS, Business Objects a plus.
