AMFM Actuarial Technology is seeking a Project Management Specialist for the Enterprise Assumptions Warehouse and the Market Data Repository Team to help support and grow the functionality of the internal applications which are used by several Business Units across the enterprise. In this role, the Specialist will work within a cross functional team of other Business Analysts and System Developers to translate business requirements into application designs to deliver solutions to our business partners in a timely and collaborative manner. The associate will work closely with our business partners, but report to and be part of the broader AMFM Global Technology organization. We are seeking an associate with strong technical skills and aptitude, as well as solid business analysis skills. The associate needs to be a self-motivated and energetic individual who can meet the challenges of a fast-paced environment. The associate should be comfortable with change and working with partners at various levels.
Additionally, we are looking for individuals to assist with the full spectrum of project implementation including the initial gathering of requirements of new functionality to providing post-implementation support of the functionality going live in the application. The individual will work to break down requirements, create test scenarios, test the functionality within the application, and communicate the results within the team and to business partners. They will be involved with the scoping, planning, and managing of these new requirements. The associate will help to support the current functionality of the application and provide resolution support for any inquiries from users of the application. Furthermore, the associate will work to have a strategic long-term focus on project implementations and look for process improvements of the standards and procedures of the applications.
Work closely with other individuals of the eSAM/MDR Application Team, System Developers, and business partners to collect and understand business requirement documentation to achieve overall project objectives to improve the application. This includes understanding the analysis, reporting and data visualization needs of the Business Units.
Ability to break down new functionality requirements into testable components and create test scripts.
Ensure project deliverables are aligned to business objectives and expectations.
Monitor and communicate progress of projects through status meetings with System Developers and business partners. Ability to appropriately identify any testing risks or issues during project implementation to System Developers.
Work collaboratively within members of the team, business partners, and other members of Actuarial and Finance Technology.
Partnering with technical subject matter experts to determine and document the optimal design of new functionality.
Provide adequate post implementation support and training to application user base to ensure they understand application changes including providing training sessions or creation of tutorial guides.
Ability to create and execute testing plan with test scripts for new functionality across test environments. Coordinate with users when new functionality is available for testing.
Ability to document business requirements and functional specifications.
Ability to facilitate change and innovation to legacy systems and processes.
Develop knowledge of local business processes and recommending technology-driven process improvements.
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Math, Information Technology or MIS
3-5 years of experience working in financial systems, financial reporting or similar area
Experience working with business intelligence (Oracle BI or similar) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Microsoft PowerBI)
Experience working with SQL, Python, APIs, JIRA, and/or VBA
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (particularly Word and Excel) is required
Demonstrated projected management skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects at various stages
Knowledge of various SDLC and process methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
Strong interpersonal skills and customer focus
Strong desire to innovate and advance internal technologies and processes
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities/deadlines
Highly motivated to make impactful improvements for our business partners
This role has a Hybrid Employee Work Arrangement. Employees are expected to be in our Newark office 1-2 days a week
