The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Organization is seeking a Project Management Specialist (Experienced, Mid-level or Senior) in El Segundo, CA. This candidate will Support preparation, development, coordination, scheduling, and change management activities of maintaining an integrated plan to meet program and/or project requirements in accordance with project management industry standards.
Production Integration (PI) is a function within the Space & Launch Common Products Organization. Your role will be supporting Common Products management while working with Integrated Product Teams and Operations focusing on factory schedule alignment, readiness, and execution. This includes capacity and demand management to ensure we optimize resource utilization across product lines.
Position Responsibilities:
Project Management
Develop and integrate project plans for deliverable hardware
Establishes mechanisms for monitoring, and integrating project elements and coordinates with stakeholders.
Analyzes plans, reviews trend data, variance analyses, and risk assessments to provide recommended changes to stakeholders
Leads in studies/analysis and planning efforts within and across programs and projects to determine constraints and recommend mitigation or modifications to plans support the Common Products managers by developing and maintaining documentation/data for various leadership presentations
Develop, Maintain and Analyze Production Pipelines
Generate and maintain pipeline and resource metrics
Analyze and resolve issues between the scheduling system and production system (MS Project & MESci)
Analyze and help resolve schedule alignment issues between scheduling systems (MRP &/or IMS)
Capacity analysis of current Programs and future business opportunities
Analyze and present production data and artifacts to key stakeholders/leadership
Resource Management - Facilities, Equipment, People
Maintain resource alignment in production scheduling systems
Manage allocation and coding of resources in production schedules and systems
Review and analyze resources using resource management modeling software to identify constraints and assist the Common Products managers in mitigating or deconflicting constraints
Lean & Process Improvements
Lead Project Initiatives - planning, documenting processes, and Implementation of changes or updated processes
Work with Data Analytics to create metrics and reports that support Common Products delivery of hardware
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at El Segundo, California.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's degree or higher
3+ years of experience managing projects or leading teams and utilizing standard project management tools
5+ years of experience user of Microsoft Project Server and/or Project Web Application (PWA)
Experience with space hardware or satellite products or programs
3+ years of experience working with manufacturing planning tools
Experience developing and maintaining integrated resource-loaded project schedules, including the use of project management tools and software such as MS Project, Milestones, Primavera, Open Plan Professional, etc.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's Degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, manufacturing operations, or related technical field
How many years of higher education and/or related work experience do you have? (Higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc.)
3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experienced or Knowledgeable on production processes and standards
Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Knowledge of Boeing used systems: Teamcenter, MESci, and Alchemy
Project Management Professional (PMP/PMI) Certification
Active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance
Typical Education & Experience:
Experienced Level 3: Bachelor's and typically 6 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Mid-level Level 4: Bachelor's degree and typically 10 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 8 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Senior Level 5: Bachelor's degree and typically 15 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 13 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Salary Pay Range for Experienced: $64,890 - $120,000
Salary Pay Range for Mid-Level: $80,010 - 148,590
Salary Pay Range for Senior: $98,280 - 182,520
