Overview

NetBrain Technologies is seeking current students who are interested in gaining a deep understanding of project management in a high-tech company. The Project Management Intern will report to the Director of Program Management and will work on a multitude of internal projects. Target start date is May 2019.

OverviewThe Project Management Intern will play a key role in assisting and supporting NetBrain's PMO and Project Managers on assigned projects. This dynamic individual should be self-motivated and interested in learning about project management in a corporate technology environment. The Intern must be a flexible and adaptable team-player, as well as have strong communication and organizational skills.

Our project management intern will work with members of the team to track and create project artifacts, providing visibility into the state of and tracking progress towards the successful delivery of program. Interns will also interact with and support business partners and participate in projects that directly impact business value

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will also be comfortable presenting in front of small groups, facilitating meetings and influencing without authority. This position is also expected to attend project meetings and record meeting minutes, assist with the tracking and inspection of material deliveries and other miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the project team.

  • Gain essential business insights and participate in projects that include data analysis and research

  • Work with project managers to assist with their day to day functions and to learn project management at NetBrain

  • Contribute individually and/or as a team member to support a designated functional area, analyze business processes, and work towards goals and objectives

  • Organize, gather and analyze information for a variety of project management initiatives

  • Assist with short-term special projects, process analysis and documentation.

  • Support analysis efforts including running reports & participating in solution testing

  • Participate in team meetings and report progress of various assigned responsibilities

  • Assist with the administration and configuration of Microsoft SharePoint site

  • Updating of documentation and processes

  • Coordinating efforts with others, tracking and reporting issues and risks

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in Business Administration/Analysis, Project Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related program, or another related field at an accredited educational institution

  • Deadline driven and have a high level of organizational and planning skills.

  • Detail oriented with the ability to manage and meet deadlines

  • Strong analytical, initiative, root cause identification skills, and problem-solving abilities

  • Time management skills - ability to handle various responsibilities while meeting deadlines

  • Strong communication skills - ability to communicate and collaborate with all levels throughout the organization

  • Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint a plus

  • Familiarity with project management approaches and phases of the project lifecycle a plus

Overview This role presents a fantastic opportunity for a Coop with a background in software development to support the growth of Network automation software. This is a great opportunity to engage with a global development teams and work on new initiatives that could enable the next generation of Network Automation for over 2000 Enterprise level companies worldwide. Responsibilities To support our Research and Development Enablement mission, provide research infrastructure in the form of reference subsystem designs and methodologies to engineers who wish to develop softwre to support their research objectives. In this role you will be part of a small team to help drive these activities. You will work on various programs. You will be working on a mixture of activities ranging from writing example apps, validating tool chains and developing reference software and demos. You will need to have an inventive and can-do approach to problem solving. Qualifications Development of reference software apps for embedded systems Creation of reference flows for the research community and commercial partners Creation of "how to guides" for the reference subsystems, covering toolchains, networking etc. More than anything else, you must have a willingness to adapt and take on new challenges Education & Qualifications Working towards or completed university degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field. Essential Skills & Qualities A real passion for embedded computing that goes beyond your studies A creative and structured approach to problem-solving Hands-on experience of embedded systems and Linux or another embedded OS Knowledge of low level C and/or C++ Desirable Skills and Qualities The following skills are not essential for this role, but experience in any of the following areas would improve your application: application development Hands on experience with hardware and software debuggers Knowledge of other languages, such as shell, Perl, Python, Java or any assembly Interpersonal Skills Capable of working as a teammate or independently.
