Serve as Project Manager for low to medium complexity cross-functional projects (e.g., non-discretionary, productivity gain, and cost reduction projects)
Assist with compiling key performance indicators that enable effective decision making and project prioritization
Interact with cross functional groups, such as IT, Quality, Manufacturing Sciences, Manufacturing, Finance, and Engineering to ensure people and processes are working in concert to complete agreed upon projects
Support team members within the Operations & Systems Improvement (OSI) group with various project management activities
Utilize Continuous Improvement and Lean concepts with the intent of improving process flows, reducing operational expenses, and improving productivity
Major Accountabilities include:
Support implementation of Continuous improvement and Lean methodologies within the organization.
Support data collection, analysis and visualization activities; compile key operational metrics that drive future decisions and project selection.
Assist with facilitating communication across functions to ensure projects and workstreams are moving forward efficiently. Partner with colleagues or project sponsors as needed to overcome challenges and remove barriers.
Partner/collaborate with senior team members on various project tactical and management activities.
Additional responsibilities include productivity planning, equipment capacity analysis, process effectiveness analysis, material flow analysis, time standards, value stream mapping, process flow and line balancing.
Minimum Bachelor's degree (BS) in Industrial Engineering, Science, or other related business or technical field; PMP certificate a plus. Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience and/or training in a GMP regulated industry or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Has working knowledge of manufacturing operations (preferably Biopharma or Biotech), understands structure and roles within a manufacturing network
Possesses Project Management experience and MS Excel, Visio and Project capabilities
Knowledgeable in utilizing systems to gather data, organize/interpret, and report for various leadership teams
Has ability to manage multiple priorities
Must be team-oriented (proactively builds healthy working relationships between their department and other groups)
Has excellent written and oral communication, and presentation skills
Possesses an understanding of Continuous Improvement and Lean concepts
Has ability to set and achieve goals with minimum supervision. Demonstrated solid teamwork, interpersonal and planning skills.
