Product Engineers work with Marketing to develop product concepts that meet defined market needs. They work through alternatives using lean concepts to meet and validate customer needs.

Further Product Engineers work with project Development teams to create these products and then provide technical support for Marketing to sell those products to customers. Throughout the development process, Product Engineers are also responsible for continually validating features, and implementation, with External Stakeholders who bring expertise from a wide range of various domains to ensure that the product that is being developed will satisfy the largest majority of stakeholders.

  • Conceptualizes, develops and manages a group of Triconex products from product definition and planning through production, release, and end of life.

  • Serves as the central resource with portfolio, design, and marketing as the product(s) move to production and distribution.

  • Involvement lasts throughout all stages of a product's lifecycle including modifications, upgrades and maintenance of the product or product line.

  • Serves as the product owner of the Agile development process.

KNOWLEDGE

Having broad expertise or unique knowledge, uses skills to contribute to the development of company objectives and principles and to achieve goals in creative and effective ways.

JOB COMPLEXITY

Works on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles. Exercises independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Creates formal networks involving coordination among groups.

SUPERVISION

Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments. Goals and performance are often communicated in "solution" or longer-term program objective terms. May supervise the activities of others.

EXPERIENCE

Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience. At this level, a post-graduate degree may be expected.
