INFICON is looking to hire a Project Lead based in our Portland, Oregon office. Intelligent Manufacturing Systems (IMS) is a division of INFICON that makes industry-leading scheduling and visualization software to optimize semiconductor manufacturing. Our client engagements leverage our extensive industry knowledge and our software products to improve the performance of each factory. Our division is experiencing exciting growth and we are looking for talented candidates to built on our leadership and help us deploy our products to manufacturing sites around the world.


The Project Lead is the primary interface between the client and IMS and must reflect our unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction. You are responsible for maintaining an excellent client relationship and for resolving/escalating any problems/concerns encountered. You will work with a broad range of client stakeholders, the other members of the IMS consulting team, and the IMS software development team to successfully and efficiently deploy our applications to help our clients achieve their objectives. You will train end users, support client change management needs, test client requested application changes, and meet project budget and timeline.

Our ideal candidate would have a strong analytical background, experience in semiconductor manufacturing, familiarity with industrial engineering concepts, and basic knowledge of SQL. Prior experience managing software development projects is also a plus. Willingness to learn our industry, work with fellow team members and with clients, and adapt to changes is required.


  • Represent INFICON IMS to your clients both on site and in frequent remote calls.

  • Lead the entire project life cycle by developing and maintaining the schedule to meet project goals, defining clear deliverables, determining what expertise is required, and producing estimates of program/project requirements based on changing client needs.

  • Work closely with other members of the IMS consulting team including frequent communication with Program Lead and Commercial Lead for your sites.

  • Work closely with the IMS software development team including providing feedback on applications, communicating new feature requests, performing QA for new versions, and managing deployments.

  • Effectively interface with broad range of client stakeholders including operators, process engineers, industrial engineers, Fab managers, IT, and executives.

  • Develop training material, provide on site training, and update IMS Help Site as needed.

  • Provide support during unscheduled downtime which may require being on call for nights and weekends occasionally.

Required Skills

  • 3-10+ years experience in semiconductor manufacturing

  • Bachelors degree or higher in engineering or computer science

  • Responsibilities commensurate with experience and education

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Familiarity with industrial engineering concepts

  • Knowledge of SQL especially with Oracle databases

  • Effective communication skills and comfortable presenting to groups

  • PowerPoint and presentation generation skills

  • Self-starter with strong self-management

  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and projects at the same time

Desired Skills

  • Expert level knowledge in PL/SQL and Oracle databases

  • Experience managing software development projects

  • Ability to speak/write Japanese or Mandarin

  • Willingness to work temporary assignments overseas


  • Must live in the Portland, OR metropolitan area and be available to work during normal business hours Monday-Friday.

  • The Oregon INFICON IMS office is in downtown Portland so commuting by bicycle, bus, or light rail is an option.

  • This position requires domestic, international and local travel. The requirements vary month to month, but the maximum expectation would be 50% of a month with typical requirements being closer to 25%.

LEIDOS has immediate openings in multiple locations for Airport Site Lead/Project Manager(s) to provide technical, and project management support to TSA Contracting Officer Representative (COR) for the Transportation Equipment Deployment Services (TEDS) for the Deployment and Logistics Division (DLD). This position encompasses the full project lifecycle management as the site lead / project manager. The position involves, site surveys/validations, risk identification and mitigation, coordination, communication, report development, drawing review/comment, construction management / oversight, schedule development and tracking, applying for and closing out local/state construction permits, subcontractor oversight, installation oversight, test witness, and project sell-off / close-out of security systems related to the checkpoint equipment deployments at federalized airports throughout the East/West region. The position will support the TSA TEDS program to maintain, upgrade, and move the established airport security system to the next generation of capability. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: NOTE: This position will allow the selected candidates(s) to work remotely and telecommute from home. However, 50-75% travel to regional airports is required. The successful candidate will be responsible for project management at assigned airports, including coordination, site survey/validation, design support, communication, developing statement of work bid packages, construction oversight, site/equipment layout evaluation, witness test/checkout, site clean-up and restoration. * The candidate will be responsible for managing up to 5 - 7 projects at various life cycle stages concurrently. * May be required to guide or direct the daily activities for geographically assigned teams ranging in size from 2-10 consisting of site technicians, including subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and/or local general contractors. * Will be responsible for facilitating communications and coordination between TSA HQ, local TSA, airport stakeholders, operations management, general subcontractors, other TSA Vendors, airport authority representatives and state/ local government officials. * Exercise expert judgment and assess project, construction, and equipment installation best practices to conduct requirements analysis; review design drawings, specifications, and deliverables; support connectivity construction, installation, and acceptance testing; and oversee site clean-up and remediation. * Successfully monitor the project schedule and keep the team appraised of any possible delays or modified plans to avoid any unnecessary costs to the customer. * Self-starter with high energy and initiative to easily adapt to dynamic, fast-paced work environments. * Physical work locations may vary depending on the assigned airports and the deployment schedule. This position requires up to 75%+ travel to airport locations as assigned. Ideal candidates will possess Airport Category X & 1– 5 years of Project Management (preferably construction management) * Demonstrated experience as a Project Manager (preferably construction management) with on-time, on-budget projects, taking into consideration complexities and schedule history for comparable projects. * Experience working with multiple stakeholders on a single project. * Experience in planning and formulation of design alternatives and solutions for construction projects. * Management experience on work performed by field staff and subcontracting firms. * Experience in resolving compliance issues with federal, state and local authorities on design specifications. * Thorough understanding of airport construction practices, processes, standards, and their impact on project activities.
