Join us, and you'll have an important role in continuing Apple's legacy of efficiency and success.We are seeking a cross-functional Project Lead to join the Global Business Solutions (GBS) Operations team based in Austin, TX. This Project lead will represent one or more of the three GBS pillars (R2R, O2C, or P2P) depending on project assignment. Familiarity with general ledger, revenue and royalty accounting areas of R2R and/or accounts receivable, revenue operations, credit card services areas of O2C will be particularly meaningful for this individual.This is an exciting opportunity to represent the Americas GBS team on key business process and systems initiatives.

Key Qualifications

Experience with, or the ability to learn the Apple project process General working knowledge of the various aspects of the shared service center, including Order-to-Cash, Purchase-to-Pay, and Record-to-ReportAbility to quickly develop an understanding of the current environment (including systems, policies, processes, and procedures) within the organization, such that decisions will be rooted in a strong foundation

Desire and ability to learn about all GBS teams and system

Excellent oral and written communications skills, including process documentation and presentation skills

Demonstrated ability to influence personnel at all levels within the organization

Ability to thrive in a highly visible position in a fast paced, deadline driven environment

Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills

Self-starter with the ability to deal with ambiguity and work independently

Curiosity and problem-solving skills

Ability to maintain a global perspective, with an understanding of the broader downstream impacts of decisions and directions

Demonstrated project management skillsERP experience required; working knowledge of the SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) modules is strongly preferred


  • Liaising with the business team, IS&T, the Global Process Organization, and the Global Finance Projects Team to define as-is and to-be business processes and systems Develop business requirements documents for global applications and conduct gap/fit analyses for potential solutions Representing the business in reviews of process and systems controls, and the development of project schedules taking into account seasonal volume spikes, period close activities, etc. Actively participate in data validation activities prior to system conversions Coordinating user acceptance test activities including scheduling resources, and creating and executing use cases Prepare impacted business teams and partners for systems implementations through effective communications and end user training Provide regular project updates to GFSS management and promptly communicating risk areas Attend appropriate production team meetings to keep abreast of other initiatives and process changes underway within the organization Serve as key point of contact for project teams, providing systems expertise when process/systems projects impact these systems


  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business or equivalent work experience required
