Project Interior Designer/Architect- (Design Focused)
What we are looking for
Commercial Interior Designer or Architect with 6-12 years of experience, ideally with experience in workplace design, although other specialties will be considered
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture
Exhibits strong design skills but also a solid technical sophistication
Ability to contribute to AND lead a team through the conceptual, schematic, design development, construction documents, specifications, construction administration, and FF&E phases
Is self-starting, energetic, and creative
Excellent Revit, Enscape, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign skills
Ability to work with the Director to develop strong design concepts and accurately document them in design presentations and construction documents.
Ability to mentor and lead the design process with more junior designers
Experience with space planning, FF&E specifications, material selections, codes, and coordination with consultants
Experience with the construction administration process
Excellent 3D graphic rendering skills
Fluent in written and spoken English
Valid work permit (USA)
This position is for our Washington, DC office only. 100% remote candidates will not be considered.
Project travel may be required.

LEED and/or WELL accreditation
NCIDQ Certification or Architectural Licensure
Excellent communication skills
Demonstrates leadership and experience with broad, cross-disciplinary project teams
Strong knowledge of Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia codes and IBC building codes and regulation
