The candidate will coordinate JE Dunn's efforts to identify and assess new markets, project opportunities, build relationships with public sector agencies, equity and debt providers, PPP sponsors/concessionaires, and integrate project teaming. The candidate must have significant problem-solving competences to develop creative and executable solutions to identified problems within public sector project delivery. This position holder must demonstrate a strong initiative, drive and commitment to delivering creative project delivery and finance solutions to public clients and PPP initiatives. The candidate will play a significant role during the origination process and will work with the consortium from pre-qualification to preferred bid and until financial close.About JE Dunn Capital PartnersJE Dunn Capital Partners, LLC is the real estate investment business of JE Dunn Construction. JE Dunn Capital Partners provides project finance solutions for both private and public sector developments.Key Role Responsibilites * Strong ability to create a strategy for project opportunities, through existing and future relationship development, to include state and local government, healthcare and higher education facilities. * Strong knowledge of public finance and management of financial analysis, including public project finance solutions * Detailed underwriting memos on the project/opportunity to leadership and the executive committee. * Will be a significant contributor in working with technical staff, clients, partners, suppliers and external consultants. * Research and involvement into the public-private partnership market and correlated opportunities * Analyze and review partner capacity and project structure to determine viability. * Continuous relationship building in capital markets environment. * Significant expertise in working with public sector agencies, state and local economic development agencies, and/or PPP industry organizations to create project pursuit opportunities. * Coordinate and partner with the JE Dunn Construction offices for public client and PPP pursuits. * Prepare initial project and financial analysis and documentation of opportunities within Texas and core PPP markets. * Supports in all aspects of closing project and equity capital transactions. * Conduct and participate in project meetings and conference calls. * Analyze and negotiate project finance structured transactions. * Complete preliminary analysis, investment memos for projects * Assist and lead, the preparation of project submissions for RFP, RFQ and RFI's. * Prepare, examine and analyze all project and project pursuit records. * Other duties as assigned.Education*
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering or Law.* MBA (Preferred)* In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.Experience*
  • At least 5+ years' experience in public sector economic development, public project finance and/or exposure to the social infrastructure PPP project development. * Strong communication (both written and oral) with the ability to make and create project submission documents * Self-starter with ability to multi-task, efficiently manage time and workload. * Comprehensive knowledge of contractual, legal and financial aspects within project finance and/or PPP. * Ability to work independently; but also, cohesively as a member of the team * Ability to quickly and effectively solve complex problems * Ability to deliver quality through attention to detail * Ability to think strategically about various potential investment outcomes * Ability to adapt to change * Ability to present a positive disposition, professional attitude and maintain composure and constructive interpersonal relationships under pressure * Ability to manage budgets, maximize profitability and generate future work through building relationships * Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externallyJE Dunn Construction is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
