Konik is partnering with a local manufacturing client in Saint Paul to bring in an Engineering Manager. As an Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in both engineering and project management. You will be the all-around expert in our furnace manufacturing operations, working closely with various teams and stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of projects. Your extensive experience in mechanical and process engineering, combined with your hands-on approach and strong soft skills, will be key to your success in this role.

Engineering Manager Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of furnace systems using Solidworks.
• Collaborate with modelers and other engineers to create detailed engineering drawings and models.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment to ensure successful project delivery and professional development.
• Ensure designs meet all specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee and manage multiple projects from inception to completion.
• Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring adherence to all project milestones.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including operations, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless project execution.
• Act as the primary point of contact for field operations, interfacing with staff and customers to ensure project requirements are met.
• Provide on-site support and troubleshooting as needed, demonstrating a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
• Conduct site visits to assess project progress and address any issues that arise.
• Work closely with operations teams to understand their needs and translate them into actionable engineering plans.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, from shop floor staff to senior management.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring their satisfaction with our products and services.

Engineering Manager Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in furnace engineering or a related industry.
• Proficiency in Solidworks and other relevant engineering software.
• Proven experience in project management, with a track record of successfully managing complex projects.
• Strong hands-on engineering skills with detailed knowledge of furnace systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating leadership and initiative.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Preferred:

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
• Experience with field operations and customer interfacing.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements for furnace manufacturing.
• Prior experience working with direct reports or operating in an engineering lead function
