Project Engineer – Heavy Civil Construction (Bronx, NY)

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Engineer to join our team in Bronx, NY. This position is ideal for a highly motivated individual with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and at least 5 years of experience in project engineering, specifically in heavy civil construction.

As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in managing large-scale heavy civil construction projects, ensuring technical excellence, quality control, and efficient execution. The ideal candidate should have strong technical skills and proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Requirements

Manage and oversee heavy civil construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring compliance with project timelines, budgets, and specifications.

• Develop detailed engineering plans, drawings, and technical documentation using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Work closely with project managers, field teams, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure seamless execution.
• Conduct site inspections, surveys, and assessments to monitor progress and adherence to safety and engineering standards.
• Prepare and review technical reports, calculations, and project documentation for approvals.
• Provide technical support and guidance to team members and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on heavy civil construction.
• Experience with large infrastructure projects such as roadway reconstruction, water and sewer mains, site development, foundations, concrete structures, and excavation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
