Tetra Tech is looking for a project engineer who will work under a senior project manager to maintain positive working relationships with existing clients, perform a variety of field and office work and help secure new work to grow the solid waste professional services in the Houston/Texas region for Tetra Tech. The Project Engineer should be a Texas P.E. with consulting experience executing or a deep familiarity with the following areas:
Permit Modification applications eg. Site Operating Plan mods such as hours of operation, expanding allowable wastes, alternative daily cover, liquid solidification
Gas Collection & Control System(GCCS) master plans, expansion design and bid package, construction, CQA
GCCS feasibility through CQA for LFG to energy systems
GCCS monthly monitoring, tuning, data management, and reporting
Cell & Final Cover design and construction bid package development
Cell & Final Cover CQA
5-year phasing plans, optimization of equipment based on daily volume
Special Waste profile reviews and approvals
Notice of Intent (NOI) for General Industrial and Construction Storm-water Discharge Permit Coverage
Storm-water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) write or update, quarterly inspections, quarterly visual monitoring, annual effluent sampling, DMRs, annual comprehensive compliance evaluation and worker training
Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) Plans write or update, monthly inspections, annual training, secondary containment design
Transfer Stations Design & permitting, SOP modifications, feasibility, inspections, monitoring
Annual solid waste report
Notices of registration and maintain NOR in STEERS
Training Annual RCRA (SQG & LQG) and DOT Hazmat
Familiarity with Landfill Title V permits
Tier II Chemical Inventory

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
Master's degree a plus.
