This position has multiple job openings and may be filled at multiple levels.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops and manages the strategic approach and work breakdown structure for commercial space station systems in compliance with a prescribed product lifecycle development process.
Identifies and interviews stakeholders for the purpose of developing effective product requirement specifications.
Defines and manages scope & resource (both personnel & budgetary) allocation for assigned projects.
Maintains a product data management strategy in accordance with the company's Quality Management System (QMS).
Develops product breakdown structures of major assemblies related to project scope.
Executes product development in accordance with Agile development philosophy (scrum teams, daily stand ups, product sprint demos).
Supports cross-disciplinary collaboration as needed for effective & efficient product development.
Manages trade studies to facilitate the closure of major project decision points.
Decomposes large-scale objectives into clear and concise tasks, then assigns these tasks accordingly across a product development team.
Manages subcontractor & vendor scope, tasking, contract terminology, and contract execution, as applicable.
Takes responsibility for all major project milestones and associated entrance & exit criteria.
Communicates & presents findings during development and major milestone events to stakeholders and program leadership.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
10-15 years of project engineering experience preferred.
Experience with SOLIDWORKS 3D modeling software or similar computer aided design tool preferred.
Experience with PDM software such as SolidWorks Product Data Management (PDM) or similar.
Spaceflight hardware design background preferred.
Experience with project management software (Microsoft Project, Primavera P6) preferred.
Experience with Atlassian suite preferred.
Essential Functions
Work Environment: Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside of office work or travel, depending on the task.
Requirements
Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised.
Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.

Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time).
