RENEW Energy Partners, LLC is an energy efficiency/clean on-site energy finance and development firm serving the market for commercial and industrial (“C&I”) and institutional buildings, as well as certain elements of the transportation sector. Working with our strategic design/build and operations/maintenance partner firms, RENEW develops, funds, implements and owns improvements to C&I buildings to optimize their energy and water conservation performance while reducing GHG emissions. Job Summary
RENEW is seeking an Project Engineer to lead the development, implementation and on-going management of our energy efficiency and on-site clean energy projects in support of RENEW’s clients. As an Energy Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and delivering energy efficiency and decarbonization solutions to RENEW’s diverse base of clients. Client market segments include commercial, industrial and institutional clients including investment real estate, multifamily residential, healthcare, higher education, corporate, and manufacturing facilities. Your primary area of focus will be a designated portfolio of projects in a region/area across the United States and Canada, with a secondary focus on supporting overall US portfolio of projects.The successful candidate is a dynamic individual with high energy and motivation, is an independent worker, and has a passion for developing energy efficiency solutions in a decarbonizing world. Critical skillsets include leadership, interpersonal communication skills as well as an understanding of the energy industry and a comprehensive understanding of complex energy and related building systems.This position:

• Manages the project implementation/execution process, including engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and close-out for multiple projects as RENEW’s representative
• Manage the implementation of any necessary measurement & verification programs for multiple completed projects;
• Manage the on-going operations & maintenance and the performance of multiple operating projects.
• Works collaboratively in the business development team and other teams across RENEW and its partners
• Is accountable for the results of all assigned projects and makes day-to-day decisions for the projects as RENEW’s representative
• Delivers effective communication (oral and written) inclusive of clients, partners and team members to clarify expectations and requirements
• Provides technical expertise and develops technical strategies for proposals in collaboration with the business development team including the evaluation and management of technical and commercial due diligence and the develop preliminary project analyses for customer projects
• Identifies trends, issues and opportunities for their area of the business, industry, or projects
• Actively involved with clients and partners and supports business development initiatives
• Applies acquired expertise and knowledge to solve RENEW’s and clients business challenges

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related field
• 2-3 years of directly relevant experience
• Demonstrated experience managing contracts and contractors
• Demonstrated experience preparing proposals and reviewing contracts
• Demonstrated experience managing projects

Preferred Qualifications

• CEM, PE, LEED AP or other relevant certification
• Experience managing the installation and/or operation and maintenance of building systems (boilers, chillers, heat pumps, controls, etc.) and energy systems (CHP, solar, battery storage)
• Finance experience is preferable and experience with financial modeling and Excel are a plus;
• Experience managing cross functional teams
• Experience working in a matrixed organization
• Experience managing a client account or a portfolio of projects
• Experience delivering results against financial KPIs
