Work with engineers, drafting, and sales to design to layout new facilities, modification of existing facilities, or structural product development. Projects include concepts, layouts, equipment specifications, project review, bid packages, meetings, and construction drawings.
Typical functions of the job include, but are not limited to:
Assist in the preparation of project models and documentation (3D models and drawings), in the form of verbal and written instructions and sketches to 3D CAD Techs.
Assures the accuracy and completeness of all drawings, files, engineering records, prints, and tasks of assigned projects.
Prepare notes, preliminary, final plans (from field notes), implement design data and create
Learns and becomes proficient in engineering and drafting software programs such as, but not
limited to, Mathcad, RISA-3D, Visual Foundation, Autodesk Revit, and AutoCAD.
Coordinate drafting work while working with others on same or multiple projects.
Performs quality assurance of projects.
Maintains Clear Creek drafting standards in accordance with industry drafting and engineering
Maintain the quality, accuracy, and security of the computer-based graphical data.
Maintains high standard professionalism in attitudes and communication with fellow employees and clients.
Maintains a clean and professional office and work area environment.
Perform other duties as required.
Work will be overseen by Senior Project Engineer or Principal.
Bachelors degree (or higher) majoring in Architectural (structural emphasis), Civil (structural emphasis), or Agricultural Engineering (structural emphasis).
Preferred experience in using Autodesk, Revit, Microsoft office products, and taking field measurements.
Background in construction, engineering, manufacturing, or similar field. Experience in 3D CAD modeling.
Ability to read structural construction drawings.
Ability to use the CAD workstation, copy/fax machines, related office equipment, computers and measuring equipment (tape measure, level, angles, laser level
Work as a group in an open office setting with advanced equipment on fast paced projects and must be able to work between multiple projects.
Limited, but some travel required for field inspections, site visits, continuing education, etc.
Must be self-motivating; have ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be a positive influence and keep a positive attitude toward projects. The following characteristics are required for this position: organized, punctual, reliable, and trustworthy. The willingness and the ability to meet deadlines is a must.
