Primoris Heavy Civil is currently searching for a Concrete Paving Project Engineer in our Spring, Tx office. The Concrete Paving Project Engineer is pivotal in overseeing and managing concrete paving projects from inception to completion.

JOB SUMMARY

The Concrete Paving Project Engineer for Primoris Heavy Civil is pivotal in overseeing and managing concrete paving projects from inception to completion. This position will encompass various aspects of project planning, coordination, execution, and quality control to ensure the successful and timely completion of projects within budgetary constraints. This role works closely with project managers, construction teams, subcontractors, and clients to deliver high-quality concrete paving solutions that meet or exceed project requirements and industry standards.

JOB DUTIES

• Collaborate with project managers to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets for concrete paving projects.

• Coordinate with design teams and engineers to review project specifications, drawings, and requirements.

• Conduct site assessments to evaluate project requirements, logistics, and potential challenges.

• Assist in obtaining permits, approvals, and regulatory compliance necessary for project execution.

• Supervise and coordinate construction activities related to concrete paving, including grading, forming, pouring, finishing, and curing.

• Monitor project progress, track milestones, and identify any deviations from the schedule or budget.

• Ensure adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.

• Address construction issues, resolve conflicts, and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain project timelines and quality.

• Coordinate the procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services required for concrete paving projects.

• Manage resource allocation, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to optimize efficiency and productivity.

• Conduct regular inventory checks and ensure adequate stock levels to support project requirements.

• Implement quality control measures to ensure concrete paving meets specified standards and project requirements.

• Conduct regular inspections and quality audits to identify defects, deficiencies, or deviations from the design.

• Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues and improve overall project performance.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders regarding concrete paving activities.

• Provide regular project updates, progress reports, and status presentations to stakeholders.

• Address client inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally to maintain positive relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.

• Maintain accurate project documentation, including drawings, specifications, contracts, change orders, and correspondence.

• Generate daily reports, progress reports, and as-built documentation to track project activities and milestones.

• Upon project completion, prepare final project documentation, including closeout reports, warranties, and record drawings.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

• Previous experience in heavy civil construction, with a focus on concrete paving projects preferred.

• Proficiency in project management software.

• Strong knowledge of concrete materials, construction methods, and industry standards.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Familiarity with regulatory requirements, permits, and safety standards applicable to heavy civil construction projects.
