Project Engineer

The Role:

The Project Engineer works in a team-based environment and is responsible for developing, optimizing and maintaining processes related to our Operations. This role requires a strong understanding of chemical engineering principles and process design. The Project Engineer will work closely with other engineering disciplines, operations teams, and management to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations.

• Conduct feasibility studies and simulations to determine optimal process conditions.

• Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).

• Analyze current processes and identify areas for improvement to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

• Implement process optimization strategies using various techniques and software tools.

• Monitor and analyze process performance data to ensure processes are operating within specified parameters.

• Ensure all processes comply with industry standards, environmental regulations, and safety protocols.

• Lead process engineering projects from conception through implementation.

• Prepare and manage project budgets, timelines, and resources.

• Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of issues.

• Prepare detailed technical reports, process descriptions, and operating procedures.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date process documentation and records.

• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

• Propose and implement innovative solutions to enhance process performance.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in process engineering within the natural gas or petrochemical industry.

• Experience with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, CHEMCAD).

• Strong understanding of chemical engineering principles and process design.

• Proficiency in process simulation and optimization tools.

• Knowledge in Project Management
