As a Project Engineer in Advanced Development you will identify, evaluate, develop, & create new water technologies that revolutionize the Kitchen & Bath industry.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Initiate & successfully complete Advanced Development water technology projects. Key areas of innovation are Sustainability, Wellness, and gracious Kitchen & Bath experiences.

  • Work with Marketing, Industrial Design, and other cross-functional team members to develop new technologies that solve customer needs.

  • Determine the technical feasibility of technologies & product concepts. Create technical requirements, risk mitigation plans, test specifications, and product cost analyses.

  • Create & test prototypes (mock-ups, 3D Printed parts, etc.) to quickly evaluate new technologies and technology concepts.

Work with Kohler legal professionals to generate and protect intellectual property.

  • Perform competitive benchmarking and track industry trends.

  • Keep abreast of new water technologies and perform technical research.

  • Coordinate work of support personnel including outside groups involving design, development, drafting, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), prototype construction, and testing.

  • Contribute sound professional advice and creative ideas, concepts, and approaches to others as needed.

Skills/Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from an ABET accredited university is required.

  • 2+ years of product development and/or technology development engineering experience.

  • Experience with water technologies OR a graduate degree with research experience in a water technologies field is preferred.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

The salary range for this position is $83,300 - $105,200. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
