The Project Engineer will exhibit genuine interest in solving work problems through proactively asking questions, clearly communicating and collaborating both internally and externally to grow the business. In addition, the Project Engineer is responsible for understanding our competition and customers, and showing initiative to learn and continuously improve company processes.

As appropriate, Project Engineer's will perform a variety of engineering responsibilities, working to engage customers and solve problems; Supporting sales on the full project scope including designing, planning, and testing company systems.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Listed in order of relevance:

  • Participatein long-range customer account planning and facilitatesolutions to unplanned customer requests.

  • Assist project engineers in the development and scope of control strategies and software requirements.

  • Assist in configuring and conducting tests on control systems and developing specifications for third party equipment and instrumentation

  • Assist in uncovering ofcustomer issues and assisting in providing evidence to support a value hypothesis.

  • Ensure ERP, Supporting Documentation, Time Allocation, and Scheduled activities are properly recorded

  • Assist in establishing and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external contacts.

  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

  • Handle other duties as required.

  • Interface with internal departments and/or customers to facilitate communication and exchange of ideas.

  • Maintain sensitive and confidential information regarding company information.

  • Assist in providing fundamental technical support for the sales process, and specific assigned front-end engineering projects.

  • Provide limited technical analysis, troubleshooting and solutions

  • Respond to change productively and handle other duties as required.

  • Assist in reviewing, developing, and preparing project documentation and drawings following standards, practices, and use of engineering tools as recommended by the department.

  • Assist in the design of the architecture and application of various technical approaches and technologies to present to the customer the optimal solutions. Ability to describe and quantify the value of the various CCC package solutions.

  • Travel to customer locations along with Team Lead, Account Managers or Senior Engineer, as necessary, in order to perform pre-sale activities including, site surveys, customer meetings, and other engineering activities.

  • Assist in quantifying and validating the value hypothesis to support a customer's value agreement.

  • Assist in organizing technical and commercial data into spreadsheets and word documents and/or databases.

  • Assist Project Engineer in working to proactively identify customer solutions and reinforce compliance to pre-determine standards and execution practices

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Engineering required

  • Preferred experience in control systems engineering or related field

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Understanding of, or ability to learn CCC solutions

  • Knowledge of PLC migrations is preferred

  • Understanding of Controls Philosophy and engineering processes

  • Basic computer skills; including basic PC setup and Microsoft Office products required.

  • Have analytical skills to recognize patterns in data, information or events to draw logical conclusions and make recommendations for action.

  • Ability to efficiently use all Microsoft Office products.

  • Ability to operate test equipment and obtain measurements and data.

  • Provide limited technical knowledge in specific areas of engineering aspects.

  • Demonstrated ability to continuously learn

  • Ability to read, speak, and write in English required.
