Project Engineer II

Oscar Renda Contracting, Inc., in Grapevine, Texas, seeks a Project Engineer II to be responsible for assisting Project Manager with daily execution of construction projects. Specific duties include: (i) coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors; (ii) drafting Purchase Orders and Subcontract Agreements; (iii) preparing and maintaining Submittal and RFI Logs; (iv) reviewing project submittals per plans, specifications, and contract documents; (v) assisting with the project schedules, including tracking progress and monitoring lead times and deliveries of scheduled materials and equipment; (vi) assisting with change orders; (vii) assisting QA/QC team with information related to project documents; (viii) assisting with the coordination of startup and commissioning activities; (ix) assisting with project close-out documentation; and (x) assisting superintendents with field oversight.

Must have a bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field plus four (4) years of experience in a related position. In the alternative, will accept a master's degree in one of the above noted fields plus two (2) years of experience in a related position.

Must have any experience with or knowledge of: (i) Bluebeam Revu and Primavera P6; (ii) analyzing and interpreting contract specifications, drawings, and project schedules; (iii) contract procedures and principles; (iv) reviewing submittals and shop drawings; (v) preparing subcontracts and purchase orders; (vi) water and wastewater treatment plants projects; (vii) Estimation including Quantity takeoff's and Pricing; (viii) Startup and Commissioning plans and coordination; (ix) Quality Control including plans and oversight of field Quality Control; and (x) working with Subcontractor and suppliers.

Must be willing and able to travel up to 10%.

Must be willing to work in a drug-free environment and agree to a post offer drug test.

Experience can be concurrent.
