The primary function of the project manager is to work in a team environment to deliver ETO products and services on time to customer request. You will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of ETO products and services comprising of multiple Brands and lines. Solutions utilizing multiple products, various control methods and services: Burners, Valves, Gas Trains, Panels, Heat Exchangers, Ducts, air/fuel controls, metering, sensing for ease of installation, start up and commissioning through our combustion services team.

You will act as single point of contact for customer &/or sales once a purchase order has been received. Manage the order by facilitating the resolution of engineering, manufacturing and contract issues with sales, coordinate activities to successfully ship and receive payment on ETO orders. You will set and maintain overall project schedule (ETO Phase Process). Conduct Kick-Off Meetings for projects with engineering, manufacturing, sales, order entry, and purchasing. Maintain profit margins and issuing change orders when required. Work with customer to ensure timely return of approval drawings. Document condition of all equipment prior to shipment (as needed). Work with planning & shipping departments to ensure timely processing and shipment of projects to the customer. Provide technical support to customers on current ETO projects as it relates to the project management function and process flow. Respond to written and verbal inquiries regarding product function, application and requirements. Provide technical support to manufacturing as it relates to the project management function and process flow.

  • Technical degree or equivalent industry experience required in custom engineered to order

  • Experience in project engineering or project management

  • Experience in Maxon, Hauck, Exothermics, Eclipse or Honeywell Combustion Safety product lines

  • Proficiency with MRP systems (such as JD Edwards, WinMan or SAP)

  • Experience or training with Microsoft Access or other comparable data bases

WE VALUE

  • Advance degree or project management accreditation

  • Working application knowledge of combustion industry

  • Cross functional knowledge of procurement and fabrication processes

  • Experience with furnace and/or boiler retrofits is preferred. This includes shell plate modifications, refractory repairs, burner mounting, low pressure air and gas piping, combustion air blower mounting

  • Basic electrical understanding for panel/junction box mounting, rigid/flexible conduit sizing and installation, SO/SJO cord, etc.

  • Experience with Product Data Management systems (PDM) such as SmarTeam or Product Stream Pro

  • Gas piping and purging requirements per NFPA 54 and 86

  • Creating work scopes for all subcontractors from lockout/tagout, purge/de-energize system, demolition, installation, and checkout

  • Hiring and working with subcontractors, union and non-union

  • Results oriented with a willingness to work extended hours to meet project deadlines

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Team focused with strong interpersonal skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

Ability to problem solve issues as well as plan, design, and execute empirical Design of Experiments (DOE) to ensure repeatability. </li> <li>Optimize process performance through the use of Operational Excellence and LEAN tools and techniques. Drive process improvement, root cause analysis and troubleshooting through the collection and analysis of data to enhance material/labor utilization output rates, set up times, and product quality. Define and achieve goals, objectives, and projects related to yield improvement, labor optimization, conversion cost reduction and product quality.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Evaluate and recommend material and formulation improvements, including cycle optimizations by working closely with process operators and the R&amp;D Lab personnel. Able to plan and execute trials to drive out waste and reduce variation. Ability to make process evaluations and make appropriate recommendations for changes.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Contribute to the customer complaint process via root cause analysis, documentation, trials, and confirmation of effectiveness.
