Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Project Engineer to join our team. This role will work closely with the Project Manager to support the successful execution of commercial roofing projects. The ideal candidate will assist in project planning, material take-offs, coordination, and various project-related duties to ensure efficiency, cost control, and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities:

• Project Support & Coordination

• Assist the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and executing commercial roofing projects.

• Perform material take-offs and assist in estimating project costs.

• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely material deliveries.

• Track and manage project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and compliance paperwork.

• Support the Project Manager in managing project budgets and cost control measures.

• Site Coordination & Communication

• Assist in job site coordination, ensuring work aligns with project specifications and schedules.

• Communicate with field crews, subcontractors, and stakeholders to resolve project challenges.

• Participate in project meetings and provide updates on project progress and potential risks.

• Quality Control & Safety

• Monitor project execution to ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry standards.

• Assist in performing site inspections and ensuring quality control measures are in place.

• Support the enforcement of OSHA and company safety policies on job sites.

• Qualifications:

• Experience in commercial roofing, construction, or project management is a plus.

• Strong proficiency in construction software (Procore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or similar).

• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

• Knowledge of commercial roofing systems, materials, and installation techniques is an advantage.

Compensation:

• $65k + based upon experience - with a performance based bonus compensation plan
