A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PROJECT ENGINEER:

  • Negotiate and purchase materials

  • Maintain as-built documents

  • Act as owner and architect/engineer contact

  • Verify and provide inventory analysis

  • Survey construction job site

QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates for this position must possess a degree in construction management, civil or mechanical engineering, or other related field. They must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.

Project Engineers must be willing to travel and/or relocate.

VIEW JOBS 10/9/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-01-07T00:00 Overview Reporting directly to MNS Field Engineering Manager, the MNS Project Engineer will be responsible for supporting multiple small to mid-sized clients with their managed network service needs across multiple markets. The Project Engineer will have direct interaction with clients on a day to day basis performing high level project-based work and providing IT guidance as a trusted advisor. Responsibilities * Design, build, maintain, and support of client network infrastructure, servers, applications and other related IT hardware and software. * Obtain and maintain IT certifications required by company. * Create and maintain client documentation to ensure efficiency and consistency. * Interact with clients, internal staff, consultants and vendors. * Manage projects from start to finish. * Enter time sheets daily for all work performed. * Team coordination on larger client projects. * Client project budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. * Perform other duties or special projects as assigned Qualifications * BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field a plus * Minimum 5 years of hands-on technical experience managing/supporting multi-server Microsoft environments. * Hands-on virtualization (Hyper-V and/or VMWare) experience. * Experience deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting network firewalls and switches. * Must be a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer or be willing to acquire certification as part of the employment agreement. * Experience deploying, managing, and troubleshooting Microsoft Azure and Office 365 technologies preferred. * Managed Service Provider and/or Managed Security Service Provider experience a plus. * Network-based Storage Technology (SAN) experience a plus. * Server, security, or network certifications a plus. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, detailed oriented, ability to track and thoroughly communicate on multiple ongoing projects for multiple clients. * Must be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as participate as part of a group managing other resources on larger projects. * Must be able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment * Candidate must be comfortable actively communicating with all levels within an organization. * 75% local-day travel / 20% remote work / 5% overnight travel. * Valid driver's license Required * Must be able to provide own reliable transportation Sharp Electronics Corporation is an equal opportunity employer – minority/female/disability/veteran #LI-SD1 Sharp Electronics Corp Alpharetta GA
