Essential Duties and Responsibilities Interaction with sales engineer/customers, as needed, to provide engineering support, clarification and technical documentation for orders and projects.
Prepare and review related documents such as ITP, pump test reports, specifications, etc Lead projects/special orders from the beginning to completion Review and analyze pump design and test results and support product improvement Lead product trouble shooting for testing, manufacturing and field service Develop pump selection spreadsheet and support pump selection software for sales team Other duties as assigned.
Competencies Must be a highly motivated self-starter who has a passion for engineering and can offer unique and complex engineering challenges that require persistence, original thinking and a positive attitude.
Technical Skills - Strives to continuously build knowledge and skills.
Solve technical issues independently with supports from team Excellent communication skills and be capable of interacting with other engineers, shop technicians, sales, customers, and vendors.
Qualifications Bachelors or degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
Centrifugal pump experience preferred.
Familiarity with industry specification for pump, piping and valves preferred.
Manufacturing experience preferred.
Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel.
Experience with Solidworks and VB preferred.
Excellent communication skills required.
Physical Demands Climb stairs Sit for extended periods of time Occasionally stoop, kneel or crouch Use hands and arms to reach for, grasp and manipulate objects Specific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibility includes performing Software Requirement Analysis, software architecture/design, software implementation, and supporting software module & integration testing and software validation and verification. * Software Requirements Analysis, Software Architecture / Design / Implementation adhering to Automotive SPICE process. * Very strong knowledge of Matlab, Simulink, Stateflow and Embedded Coder for auto code generation and testing. * Embedded C/C++ programming for microcontroller based automotive electronic controllers * Working with automotive network protocols like CAN, LIN and diagnostics * Contribute to Systems Engineering projects to develop new and/or improved processes and innovations to provide value for Tenneco * Define software project architectures and implement the project design according to the architecture * Conduct bench & integration testing; Support Module/Unit Testing & SW Validation activities * Create Software design guidelines and documents. Create documentation according to customer needs to support the development and testing activities * Using HIL systems to perform unit and functional testing * Define test setup architectures (SIL and HIL) and test methods * Create software specification documentation, contribute to software peer reviews, conduct software unit testing and participate in software validation * Support manufacturing end of line test development * Release and manage software versions * Home office in Monroe, MI; Some travel to Grass Lake, MI Required Skills * Extensive experience with dSPACE or ETAS LAB Car or Opal-RT HIL systems * Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering or Computer Science * Minimum of three (3-5) years of experience in Embedded C/C++ programming for microcontroller based automotive electronic controllers * Minimum of three (3) years of experience with Matlab, Simulink, Stateflow and Embedded Coder or TargetLink for auto code generation and testing Required Experience * Experience in Model Base Design using Statemate and Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow tools is a plus * Exposure to and has hands- on experience to various Microprocessor architectures and controller families, memory management strategies, flash programming skills, boot-loader technologies * Ability to work with automotive network protocols like CAN, LIN and diagnostics * Diab and Tasking compilers, Debuggers, Simulators, CANape, INCA, and ATI Vision * Working knowledge of ECU measurement and calibration protocols such as CCP/XCP, ETK * Experience with AUTOSAR is a plus * Experience in version control & change control tools * Ability to work in globally distributed project team * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal * Programming Language: C/C++ MUST; M-Code (Matlab) PREFERRED * Familiarity with Automotive SPICE, CMM, or other software development process model is a plus * Experience with ISO26262, cyber-security is a plus * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal * High level of interpersonal skills to work independently and effectively with others Tenneco Automotive Monroe MI
