Bring your experience and connections to this great opportunity with christopher consultants, ltd., a leading Civil Engineering Firm in the Northern VA area. We are currently looking for a Project Engineer to join our Urban Land Development Team in our Fairfax, VA office.

We specialize in civil engineering, land surveying, landscape architecture, and land planning services in the design of residential, retail, office, transit, industrial and municipal projects. A qualified candidate will have experience producing technically sound product to client specifications on time and within budget. They will function as the lead designer in the preparations, organization and submission of drawings to the appropriate jurisdiction.

They will manage the development of contract documents understanding the scope of work for each project. They will ensure quality control, including QC checklist. They will assist the Project Manager and other team members to ensure the project remains on task and within the scope of work.

5-8 years of civil engineering design and construction experience

EIT is required.

Technical proficiency in all aspects of civil engineering, including roadways, streets, grading, SWM/BMP, erosion and sediment control, storm sewer, sanitary, and water design

Knowledgeable of industry requirements

Proficiency with the following computer applications: AutoCad, Civil 3D, Hec Ras, Pond Pack, MS Project, MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook

Excellent oral and written communication skills
