We have an opportunity for a dynamic Project Engineer to join our Field Services team based on our client's site in Salt Lake City. This is a full-time position. In this role you will be reporting to the Director of Field Services, working directly with the client.

Compensation: $105,000 - $145,000 *anticipated annual salary may vary based on skills, experience, qualifications, and internal peer equity. The pay range listed for this position is based on the anticipated base compensation at the time of the posting.

Additional Responsibilities & Expectations:

  • Understand and apply Company processes & procedures for project delivery.

  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with clients, vendors, contractors, and all internal team members.

  • Ensure that all assigned personnel or contractors are coordinating their activities with other project participants in a collaborative and productive manner and the requirements of the project are being satisfied by all parties involved.

  • Create meeting agendas, run internal and external meetings, take and publish meeting notes, action items and decision logs. Meetings may include weekly progress updates, model reviews, and technical reviews.

  • Create weekly / monthly project reports as requested by site engineering management.

  • Work with leads to develop project scope documents and requirements.

  • Recognize when technical problems are developing and initiate appropriate corrective actions.

  • Coordinate permit process, development of permit package and submittal to regulatory agencies as/if needed.

  • Coordinate design and document control required for vendor documents, engineering documents, and construction work packages.

  • Coordinate field visits for engineering and design as necessary.

  • Coordinate RFI responses within appropriate tracking systems.

  • Ensure that the projects are following Company's quality procedures.

  • Track and coordinate procurement packages with the procurement group.

  • Assist with preparation of technical reports, project manuals, and documentation of activity for the customer.

  • Assist with project closeout.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) and five years or more of related engineering and/or construction experience.

  • Ability to work onsite in Salt Lake City, UT for minimum of one year.

  • Experience with onsite refinery project execution.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong time management and organizational skills. Ability to juggle multiple projects or priorities at once.

  • Successful experience with planning, scheduling, conducting and coordinating technical aspects of projects.

  • Strong technical knowledge and awareness of details to be able to recognize when technical problems are developing and implement effective solutions.

  • Experience with the preparation of construction work packages.

  • Experience with participating in meetings and resolving project issues.

  • This position works onsite at a refinery, on a 9/80 schedule.

  • Follow all client site policies and Eichleay company policies.

Ability to be badged for process safety management governed facilities, which require in depth drug screening. This role will require the following:

  • Refinery Pass Basic Refinery Orientation

  • Client Safety Training and current badge or ability to obtain.

  • TWIC Certification and current card or ability to obtain.

  • Background screening including previous employment, education, criminal history, and driving record verification.

  • Participation in random drug and alcohol program.

Positions will require in-person interactions and may require working onsite in an office or field environment. This position is subject to federally mandated drug/alcohol testing. Candidates applying to Eichleay must have the ability to be badged and maintain a badge as a safety sensitive position and/or within the Building and Construction trade for process safety management governed facilities. This will require in-depth drug screening for all positions.

  • While performing duties of this job, you would occasionally be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, talk and hear (this includes being able to hear and talk on site based communication equipment), distinguish between various colors, be able to hear safety tones/notifications, and use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools, temperature or controls.

  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perceptions, and the ability to adjust focus.

  • Overtime may be necessary as workload dictates. This may include weekdays, weekends and/or holidays.

  • Job duties will generally be performed at a Client's office, client site, production facility or industrial/construction job site. Day to day job direction will typically be lead by our Clients designated project leader.

  • Conditions and/or schedule will vary at each Client location, but the conditions listed above will generally apply.

  • Candidates will be required to follow our clients' site based rules and protocols regarding infectious diseases.
