Project Engineer

Project Engineer, Crawford, Murphy & Tilly, Inc., Aurora, IL

Duties: Plan, design and provide Construction observation and oversight on Airfield infrastructure including runways, taxiways, terminal aprons, and other facilities at an airport to ensure that these facilities meet safety standards and are efficient in their use of space and resources.

Coordinate with the clients and contractors on various aspects of the construction project to ensure that the construction project is constructed in substantial conformance to the project design plans and specifications on time, and within budget. Perform engineering estimates and develop specifications for the scope of work as defined. Assist the clients in obtaining permits and other approvals from regulatory agencies. No hire/fire authority.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or related discipline plus at least four years of related experience.

Related experience must include: AutoCAD; and FAARField, Paver or similar. Must have previous experience working with pavement material, surface treatment and rehabilitation methods, specification identification and design.

Must have experience coordinating plan and design according to client specifications and communicating with the clients to achieve project goals. Must have experience reviewing requests for proposals for project subconsultants. Must have experience providing construction project representation for site inspections to ensure safety, accuracy, and consistency of the project materials and construction techniques that conform to project specifications.

Must have experience relying upon and interpreting plans and specifications in the performance of project work. Travel required up to 15%. Telecommuting is permitted up to 2 days a week, but applicant must remain within a reasonable commuting distance from Aurora, IL Crawford, Murphy & Tilly office.

Illinois Wage Range: $99,486.00 to $102,000.
