Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

Performs a variety of assignments that include independent evaluations using standard techniques, procedures and criteria, using judgment to make minor adoptions and modifications to these standards
Prepares and reviews Engineering reports, project plans and specifications prepared by others
Assigns work /tasks to staff
Prepares scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments
Prepares proposals to provide professional services
Reviews recommendations with Principal Consultant
Maintains and leverages client relationships and develops new project opportunities
Attends client site meetings
Communicates effectively with client and project teams
Works on one or multiple projects at a time
Trains Technicians and other Technical staff
May perform on-site observations, sample collection, and specific tests
May work both in the field and laboratory regularly
Must be aware of, and adhere to, safety practices and policies to ensure your own safety, as well as the safety of others who may be affected by your actions at work

Essential Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelors Science Degree from accredited engineering /ABET school. Master's degree preferred.
2-8 years of experience in construction and construction testing
EIT certification required and PE preferred
Ability to communicate and interact effectively in verbal & written communication
Ability to work off shifts and overtime
May travel up to 10% to 15%% of time

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift, move, push and pull to to 50 pounds if needed. Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance.
Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, (hearing) and to make the discriminations in sound.
Ability to kneel and squat occasionally
Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions (hot and cold)
Ability to climb occasionally

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Establish fluid fill systems project costs for mechanical, electrical and fluid power during quotation phase by working with engineering department • Understanding the relationship between pumps, motors, valves, filters, controls and other complementary equipment to develop a complete equipment package • Establish, manage and update project costing tables. • Support Sales and Project Management on integrating and updating quotations. • Support Sales and Project Management on estimating design change cost impact. • Track project cost by establishing a cost matrix per Fluid Fill System project and keep it up to date. • Inform to all involved when costs are tracking different than what was established in the quotation phase. • Establish a regular cost benchmarking activity to compare labor and material cost in different region. • Establish a regular benchmarking activity to review competitor’s solutions • Design and application of centrifugal and positive displacement pump technologies • Provide solutions to customer applications • Create pump “skids” for end users, utilizing existing layouts or creating your own • Work with the outside sales team to provide timely quotes • Responsiveness to customers needs even when limited information is being provided • Coordinate projects and customer follow up. • Formulate bid quotes using existing templates to maximize effectiveness • Promote a team approach between engineering, outside and inside sales • Problem solving / root cause analysis • Establish personal rapport with potential and current customers • Work collaboratively to provide engineered solutions for process improvements • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, vendor training, reviewing professional publications and establishing personal networks • Provide process expertise to assure quality and added value to our customers Education/Skills/Experience: Required: • Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering • 3-5 years’ experience • Experience and/or comfort level working with customers • Excellent interpersonal skills • Articulate communication skills; written and presentation • Problem solving and Systems development Preferred: • Product knowledge; Industrial pump experience
